It generally costs between $150-$2,000 to fix your home AC or furnace. The price to repair your home AC or furnace varies greatly depending on the type of issue that needs to be fixed.
If one or more parts need to be replaced, the overall cost will reflect the fee for those replacement parts. Another factor that impacts this is whether the repair is minor or extensive. For example, replacing a blower motor on a furnace can cost between $400-$1,500.
HVAC maintenance typically consists of:
- A regular inspection of the components of your HVAC system.
- Cleaning of air filters and drain lines.
- A check of the motor and blower.
Having your HVAC regularly maintained can greatly improve the health and lifespan of your system as well as lower your energy bill. It also allows you to catch any issues within your system that may need to be repaired later on. To learn more about our HVAC maintenance, give us a call today!
A few signs your hot water heater is going out are:
- You find water leaking from your hot water heater or find water pooling below it.
- The water coming out of your faucets is cloudy or has a metallic smell to it.
- Your water never gets completely hot, or it takes a long time for it to heat up.
- Your water heater has odd noises coming from it.
Like all systems, your water heater will age and become less effective. Having your hot water heater serviced and drained once a year is a good way to ensure you get the most out of your water heater. This is especially important in areas with hard water (such as Pennsylvania) where the sediment and mineral build up within your hot water heater is even greater. Service call that the Gas Boiler was working but was making loud vibrating noises and swooshing sounds from the baseboards. Upon arrival turned thermostat up to turn system on to monitor. After system starting heating the baseboards could be heard making a loud swooshing noise due to air being in the lines. Also found Expansion tank was full of water. Isolated and Purged baseboard loop and drained Expansion Tank. Put system back in operation to test. Allowed system to fully heat up and cycle on/off. Monitored water pressure and temperature. Checked baseboards and all rooms were getting hot with no noises from the baseboards. Would recommend having Boiler serviced each year and would also recommend having the AC serviced before the summer time.

Installing a new Water Shut-Off kit on a Bradford White Hot Water Heater in Aston that we installed several years ago. The Shut-Off Kit has sensors that are mounted in the pan at the base of the Hot Water Heater. If the sensors detect water they will close the Valve on the Water Supply to the Water Heater and an alarm will sound to notify the homeowner that their is an issue.
