Whole house air purifiers work differently depending on the type of air filter used. The different types include:
- Media Air Purifiers - More reasonable in price, these filters are installed in the return-air ductwork and remove more than 99.9% of pollutants and allergens from the air. Because they filter pollutants when the blower fan is running, however, during months when you do not turn on the system the air quality could drop.
- Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) Purifiers - A type of electronic media air purifiers, PCO filters are coated with titanium dioxide. A UV light is shone on the catalytic filter, creating a reaction that destroys the pollutants and purifies the air.
- Electronic Air Cleaners (EACs) - These filters charge tiny particles in the air with electricity, which then attracts them to collector plates that have an opposite charge, effectively removing dust, pollutants, and odor from the air.

Customer had a high water bill, thinks is coming from furnace since he noticed lot of water coming from condensation drain line, found no issues with furnace, Furnace it’s condensating correctly draining it into utility sink in the first floor, customer has a water leak on the cold water side, house water line is under concrete slab, recommended calling a plumber to found out more details on water leak

When I made my way to the furnace it cycled on cycled on. Taking the blower/control compartment door off I noticed that the door switch was a unreliable. I taped the door switch and cycled the furnace once. Walking back to the thermostat It was blank again. I checked the plug at the EZ trap which was slightly lose. After securing ez trap plug tightly I cycled the furnace 3 times at the thermostat to confirm my resolution.

Found when I arrived inducer motor running, and igniter glowing but no ignition. Found propane tank reading full. Found 10.4 w.c coming into gas valve, and 24 volts at gas valve but no gas coming to manifold side of gas valve. Smacked gas valve with a hammer and got valve to open. Performed a combustion test. Told Jennifer this issue will re occur again. To repair the gas furnace it will need a new gas valve and control board in the range of about $1,500.00. Recommended replacement of the furnace due to high repair costs in the past called office and took photos of furnace for office to email over a quote to replace furnace.
