Found distributer line had rubbed thru on refrigerant line going into reversing valve. Soldiered line shut with brazing rod while purging with nitrogen. Then leak tested heat pump system at 200 psi nitrogen and soap checked. Pumped down system with vacuum pump to 410 microns. Added factory refrigerant charge of 13 lbs 3 oz. r-410a. Checked refrigerant pressures in cooling and in heating mode. Also performed precision a/c tune up. Checked air filter, 20x25x4 air filter was ok. So checked all electrical components and connections. Tested outdoor unit capacitor. Cheked all tempature readings at indoor and outdoor units. System is working fine at time of service. Also warpped distributer lines at outdoor unit with foam tape to protect lines from rubbing.
Removed old heater and replaced with new Amana high efficiency gas furnace. Reconnected gas line and leak checked. Reconnected electric and added outlet. Reply,bed condensate lines. Added a wet switch for water protection. Reconnected flu piping and added a fresh air drain to prevent water in the furnace. Reconnected and sealed ductwork. Replaced April aire 401 filter. Installed new Honeywell t6 thermostat and programmed to system. Tested combustion and all functions of furnace. System running good at time of service. Set airflow for 5 ton ac.

Found furnace locked out on pressure switch code. Opened up furnace and could smell electrical burning smell. Found inducer motor is locking up do to old age. Recommend replacing system. Also got a price on the inducer motor assembly. Inducer motor is 3 days out and will cost almost $1500 to replace. Recommend replacing a/c system with furnace due to age . Called and set up appointment with office for bill to come out to give estimate.

Replace air filter, check blower and blower components, found blower cap running at 80 % lower than normal rating, check ac unit outside found condenser motor cap running also at about 75% lower than rated number, check refrigerant pressures contactor is the original to the unit shows some wear overall system is running with work needed recommended replacement due to repairs and condition of unit
Performed peco heat pump tune up check electrical low and high ok check filter ok test 10 kw back up test ok, check split, outdoor unit 410 pressures, check capacitor and contactor ok test defrost cycle unit ok, during visit noticed vinyl discharge line is discoloring and full of scale recommend replacing vinyl tubing and discharge it to main drain also would recommend adding ac renew into refrigeration system to improve efficiency and increase performance of heat pump
Recovered refrigerant and disconnected and removed old system. Installed a new Amana Natural Gas Furnace and Indoor Coil. Adapted Supply and Return Ductwork to the system and sealed connections. Installed a new Outdoor Amana AC Unit with a new Disconnect and Electrical Whip. Ran new Lineset from Indoor Coil to Outdoor Unit. Brazed connections and then pressure tested system to 300 PSI of Nitrogen to test for leaks. Performed Evacuation on system to below 500 Microns and then released refrigerant to the system. Installed new Electrical Box and Outlet/Switch for the Furnace. Adapted Gas Piping to the Furnace and tested fittings for leaks. Adapted Vent Piping to system and added a Drain Kit onto the Intake Piping. Installed a new Condensation Pump and EZ Trap. Wired Pump and EZ Trap safety switches in series to break the 24 Volt â€œRâ€ Circuit. Ran new Vinyl Tubing to Indoor Drain and sealed. Installed a new Reme Halo Air Purifier into the Supply Duct Work. Made all electrical connection
Performed gas heat tune up check electrical low and high ok check electrical low a high ok clean flame sensor and check burners ok performed combustion test cycle furnace ok replace air filter, inducer making noise from bearings, and blower cap reading below rating called land lord, could not get hold of land lord to explain the, whatâ€™s going on emailed quote to repair furnace, as right now furnace is in working order but those repair are highly recommended to prevent any break downs furnace is 20 years old

Water leak from second floor furnace, found system oof upon arrival, ran furnace for minutes and performed combustion test, noticed lot of water signs inside heater cabinet, bottom of inducer and pressure switch have lot of corrosion, due to condensation leak, found source coming from vent connector and end pipe, unit is from 2003, called home warranty and provided estimate for repairs recommend replacement of system we need to provide and estimate for replacement

Found mold in air handler cabinet ( took photos of growth) recommended installation of reme air scrubber. Also found no surge protection on ecm blower motor recommended installing a surge protector. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures at indoor and outdoor units. Checked temperature rise at indoor unit. System is working fine at time of inspection.

System is a 1989 recommended to start thinking about replacement of heat pump system with something more efficient.

Found no surge protector on ecm blower motor. Installed surge protector. Also performed precision peco heat tune up on Lennox heat pump. Replaced 20x20x5 homeowner provided. Removed old airhandler and installed a new American standard airhandler . Ran a new electrical wire for airhandler an added a 10kw heat kit. Ran a new condensate drain with a ez trap wired in. Reattached return duct and modified supply duct work as needed. Wired unit to work with existing thermostat. Installed a new American standard ac unit on a new plastic pad on pump up feet. Ran a new disconnect box and whip to unit. Brazed and leak checked old copper line with 300 psi of nitrogen and let vacuum down to 110 microns. Ran and checked unit . Tested unit in heating and emergency heating. Unit is running good.

Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures at indoor and outdoor units. Found a lot of mold inside blower cabinet. Recommend installing a reme to help kill the mold and for air purification. Had reme on truck so installed and checked operation. Installed on return side beacause there was no room to install on supply side. Found mold in air handler
Removed old heater , coil and ac unit . Installed a new amana gas furnace and coil. Adapted all duct work as needed . Taped and sealed all connections. Reconnected and adapted all gas piping tested with soapy bubbles. Ran a new copper lines eat from indoor coil to new outdoor amana ac unit. Put ac unit on plastic pad and added a new electrical disconnect and whip to unit. Brazed and leak checked with 300 psi of nitrogen an let vacuum down to 130 microns. Installed a new condensate drain with a new ez trap wired in. Installed a new pump with new vinyl tubing ran over to discharge pipe. Adapted flue piping as needed installed a new HE filter. 413 is the filter size. Tested unit and it is running well.
