Having a new central air conditioning system installed at your house can be exciting, but knowing what to expect from a new system is essential. At DiBiase Heating and Cooling Company, our contractors will also show you how to work your new system and ensure they answer any questions.
One crucial detail is that new units can be larger than older systems by about 20-50%. This means new systems can take up more space. If it was a tight fit to get your old system in the space, you may need to install your new unit in a different area.

Thermostat Not Working? Schedule Emergency Heating Repairs
When your central heating system suddenly stops working, it could be due to a broken thermostat. While this could be due to a simple problem – like old batteries – it could also be a more significant issue with the device that requires emergency repairs.
To determine the severity of the problem, our contractors recommend checking the batteries while you wait for the technician to arrive. You should also check the thermostat settings to ensure it is set to “Heat” and not “Cool.”
When an expert arrives in your Broomall, PA, home, they will check the device’s wiring and ensure it is installed correctly.
A malfunctioning thermostat requires emergency repair services as it controls your heater. If it malfunctions, your unit cannot operate correctly. This can cause your house to drop to an uncomfortable – and even dangerous – temperature, which can result in frozen pipes and other issues.

I also adjusted refrigerant charge on #3 unit. All units are working properly. Check beakers two breakers are rated 40 amps. I also noticed 1 in gastite gas connection at attic was leaking very slow. I tried to fix, connection is no longer leaking I would recommend replacement of 1 in gastite connector. I provided estimate to replace connector chapel 2 and #3 area (December unit replacement location). We need to come back to replace two breakers for units that were installed no charge, and also replace gas fitting.
Upon arrival, turn system on and found no malfunctions or errors with the system. System is running to manufacture specifications. I don’t believe the customer understands how to work the remote after multiple conversations and even had her speak to high sense representative on the phone. Very argumentative an unreasonable to talk to. Systems are running and operating to manufacturer specifications and functioning completely normal.

2.5 Ton R22 dates to 1994. 32 years old. Completely empty of refrigerant. R22. 35/5uF dual capacitor also failed. Indoor coil is uncased. Only sensible thing to do is replace AC. Furnace is 8 years old. Rheem 80% efficient 100,000 BTU. 1720 sq ft home. No zoning controls. Homeowners only interested in replacing AC. Homeowner paid for diagnostic fee today. Issue is dark color stains on white siding back side of house around deck. Roofers, plumbers and a wildlife control person have t been able to pinpoint scat cause. I checked attic air handler. No signs of water leaks and the drain runs perpendicular to the side of house with Lineset. Used inspection camera and popped piece of soffit off that the wildlife company did and noticed that the water leak marks are coming from the piece of wood that the gutters mounted towards the wall NOT from direct,y above. I located the piece section of hydronic baseboard immediately above where these water marks are and scoped between two bedroom walls where 3/4” copper for baseboard runs and connects the 2 sections. No water leaks at all. I also checked boiler pressure I believe the gutters and the wood they are mounted to are the culprit. If gutters get loaded with snow and freeze as happened this past winter AND the wood they are mounted to is slightly rotted, the gutters can detach slightly le

Luis 4-2-26 customer called in for no air.dow to second floor. House is big level and has summer winter damper to control flow to second floor. I test blower operation check all registers ok customer stated flows is back to normal now. Issue was probably damper got loose from nut restricting flow. Repositioned damper and makes sure nut was firm 100%. I provided estimate for service plans.
3/28/26 Dan I arrived to the customers mother‘s house. Her boiler wasn’t working when I got to the house I met with Patrick and the boiler was running. I checked the board and everything was normal standby mode and then it would go into heating mode with no problem. I did a combustion on arrival, and I had very high CO . I got approval from Joe for pricing and from Patrick to go ahead and clean out the flue pipe the heat exchanger and the burners. Found at the base of chimney, the flu was completely clogged up with debris. I removed all the debris and cleaned out the heat changer with a brush and vacuum and cleaned the burners and the burner plate. I tested system and my numbers came down to 200 ppm from 1200 ppm . I then looked at my gas pressure and found near 4.0” of water column I adjusted to 3.2” water column now I have 14 ppm from 200 ppm . I still have low draft. The customer will have the chimney inspected. I collected for 399.00 for today’s service. I did leave a contract
Arrived to provide estimate to move (2) AC condensers to a spot away from where new addition will be. One system is from 1998 28 years old, the other system is from 2002 24 years old. Both system R22 refrigerant. Will be very costly to move spunits especially considering the cost of R22 refrigerant. During the process found holes in attic furnace flue pipe. Provided estimate to replace. He will decide if he wants to move forward. For safety reasons I red tagged furnace. Turned switch off and gas valve off. Do not operate furnace. Homeowner refused to sign off on the fact that I red tagged the furnace and informed him that it is unsafe to operate. Took photos to be able to provide relevant estimates to move the AC systems.
Luis 3-18-26 performed oil heater tune up on 10 year old thermopride oil heater. Test system operation ok. Inspect burner assembly, air delivery (customer uses washable filter, electronic filter not working) and oil delivery system. Change nozzle and pump strainer, oil filter ok at this time. Clean and adjust electrodes. Remove flue pipe and inspect chimney base, clean heat exchanger ok performed combustion test ok. Check electrical system low and high (unit does not have surge protection) Cycle oil heater ok. During today’s visit I noticed some items that will need attention, condensation pump and vinyl should get replaced to prevent any water leaks. Humidifier is not connected looks to be in bad shape, adding humidifier to system will improve comfort and more evenly temperatures around the house. Some of burner components are starting to show corrosion still functioning, we will monitor this parts over next heat tune up. (Flue pipe and high voltage transformer).
No heat carrier has furnace from 1998. Approximately 28 years old. The inducer motor pressure switch electric contacts were stuck closed when I arrived. Trial for ignition therefore was stopped I cleared the tubing and port. The draft rating in inches water column for this switch is not actually listed on the switch itself. Cross referenced. Determine switch is rated for .16. Offered to install universal pressure switch. Homeowner agreed. Installed with correct spring and new wiring connectors and tested. System pulling adequate draft .64” On 2 occasions occasion the system cut out exactly when blower motor is designed to be energized which is control board malfunction. Provided email estimate for control board. Flame sensor is also green in color despite being cleaned by homeowner and myself. I cleaned a final time with fine steel wool and afterwards there were no incidences of flame sensor error. Cleaned gas orifices. C Used an inspection camera to assess integrity of heat exchan
