I arrived for no heat for a Amana heat pump system , 5 yrs old. The customers have been running on auxiliary heat . The outdoor unit wasn't running. I found the 24 volt communication wire was broken on one side on the outdoor heat pump. I repaired the wire and tested the system operation and checked the pressures . Everything is back up and running. I collected for $318.62 for tonight’s service paid by cc.

Set new unit in auxiliary drain pan on bump up box. Installed aprilair 2410 filter rack and new return drop with custom transition. Installed new flex collar and plenum kit for supply. Adapted gas piping to new unit. Adapted intake and exhaust vents to unit. Ran new condensate drain with ez trap safety switch to new condensate pump with new Vinyl running to point of indoor discharge. Made all high and low voltage connections to unit and wired safeties in series to break 24v R call to thermostat. Set new unit on new pad and leveled. Hung new disconnect box with surge protector and sealed to wall. Ran new lineset from indoor unit to outdoor unit and piped in. Brazed pressure tested evacuated and charged system. Made all high and low voltage connections to unit. Performed all test out procedures cleaned all work areas and reviewed installation with homeowner.

Set new furnace on existing return box. Built custom transition between furnace and coil. Adapted existing gas line to new furnace. Adapted to existing intake and exhaust vents. No heat. 100,000 BTU natural gas funace 90% efficient from 2008 The most pressing issue is the failing inducer motor. Very noisy. Left estimate to replace. Found failed condensate pump. Vinyl tubing is spliced with 3/8” copper last few feet. He agreed to replace condensate pump, diagnostic and humidifier maintenance today. Humidifier pad was in very bad shape. Completed work today and tested. Vinyl discharge tubing should be replaced. Left estimate. Inducer shut off once free about 10 min run time. Hi limit also randomly opened. I left estimate for minimum required repairs. We set up consultation for tomorrow morning. He is mostly interested n furnace only. Please replace vinyl tubing for, condensate pump of he does the install. He paid for balance today.

Barry was on site when I arrived and installing the S1200 thermostat with EIM. Reviewed kitchen with John and performed thermal imaging on walls and ceiling. There were some cold spots around perimter which is normal and around the drop soffit in kitchen area. The attic is already fully insulated and there is no way to get back into that area above without disturbing the insulation. The walls were rather cold in the kitchen as well indicating minimum insulation. Checked airflows in kitchen space with anemoneter and cacluated airflow at around 100 cfm per run and there are 3 runs in the kitchen. Ductwork is in the attic space and buried in new insulation. Recommended to measure the temperature in the kitchen and keep fan on the system in circulate mode to circulate air and improve air balancing.

Equipment is a Miller Oil furnace in trailer. They have been without heat since March 2025. They had allowed tank to run out. Had it filled. Then they had someone bleed the burner and tell them they needed new “ignitor” I found clogged nozzle and electrodes very worn. One was completely broken off. They had reset primary control 3 times so there was oil in chamber. Offered to replace electrodes and nozzle. They agreed. Completed work today, Then tested system. During first run time smoke billowed from a point in the flue piping as a result of the excess oil in chamber burning off. Allowed system to run ten minutes. Then Cycled system 3 more times. Combustion is clean now. No smoke making its way through burner observation port or flue pipe. Important Notes: *There is no filter. Showed them where the filter I supposed to go. Approximate dimensions 14x25x1 *The outside oil tank gauge is illegible. Need new tank gauge. They said they will take care of tank gauge. Furnace is from 2

Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components. 10KW electric heat kit 60A: Good; there is no control of electric heat use based on outdoor temperature Provided email estimate for Honeywell S1200 Elite Pro Smart thermostat with EIM. This will allow for lockout of electric heat based on outdoor temperature, thereby resulting in savings and lower utility bills. They agreed to estimate. I did not have an S1200 with EIM on the truck. So collected half. We will schedule return ASAP. Measured temperature rise and static pressure Inspected drains. There is no trap or overfill protection switch on drain line. Provided email estimate for EZ trap. Verified integrity of compressor and defrost cycle Checked refrigerant charge/pressures. Heat pump operating well at this time.

Completed heat tune up for 4 ton heat pump with 15KW electric heat kit, Replaced 20x25x1 filter was very dirty, last replaced March 2025. Needs to be replaced every 2 months. You could also use 20x25x4 filters and replace every 3 months. She keeps fan On. Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition. Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components. 10KW electric heat kit 60A: Good Measured temperature rise and static pressure Inspected drains. Verified integrity of compressor and defrost cycle Checked R410A refrigerant charge/pressures. Completed humidifier maintenance: replaced 35 water panel, cleaned housing, opened bypass damper. The target humidity setpoint is at the thermostat. She has it set to target 45%RH. Heat pump operating well at this time.

Luis 1-5-26 customer called in for issues with heater. He has to reset power on and off for heater to come back on. I check error coded history and is showing ee1 low pressure switch stocked closed. I check pressure switches and I did noticed during troubleshooting contacts would stayed on when inducer not running, only did it once while on site. I would recommend replacement of pressure switches. Provided estimate to replace switches under parts warranty. Customer approved repairs. Office to order parts. 1/9/26 Replaced furnace pressure switches. Measured draft at both points using a manometer (secondary cover box and inducer) Draft is good (-.88”) Tested system. Temperature rise Good Combustion and draft tests: Pass System operating well at this time.

I arrived for a Bosch heat pump not keeping up the temperature. I checked the indoor unit found OK I did replace the air filter supplied by the customer. I went to the outdoor unit. It had an error code h5 hard lock out. I reset the unit looked at my pressures board pressures and pressures did not coordinate system runs fine and cooling but suction pressure is not good in heat mode. I talked to Roy from Bosch and I went through diagnostics for the transducer and the transducer has failed, not giving the right signals to the board, he pump with run and then go out on a P2, which is low pressure I collected for my time today. Office will need to check for warranty in part pricing for the transducer.

I arrived to the customers home to service there 24 yr old gas boiler and there 15 yr old gas boiler. I started with inspecting the temperature and pressure gauges. I looked at both the boilers for any water leaks around the whole system. I inspected the heat exchangers the ignition system . I inspected the expansion tank and the water feeder and the circulator for both boilers for proper operation. I tested for combustion and checked return and supply water temps . Everything is working ok at this time of service for both boilers . I recommend in replacing the older boiler in the near future. Collected $129.00 for one of the boilers contract and collected for remaining balance $693.67 that was completed at the other property. Total due for today is $822.67 . I ran the card on file per the customer for the balance of $822.67 paid .

1/7/26 Heating check up on a 3 year old Bosch heat pump. Started by checking and tightening all electrical components including total indoor system amps, and electric heat strips. All electrical components functioning properly. Tested temperatures of supply and return and found a temp rise of 22. Tested static and found total static to be .63inwc. Visually inspected blower motor as well as coil, both in good condition. Replaced customer supplied filter today. Noticed Reme HALO unit was not on. I unplugged and replugged the wiring from the housing and the power light came on but the UV bulb did not light up. Informed customer that the UV bulb needs to be replaced as the bulb is currently 3 years old. At outdoor checked and tightened all electrical connections including system voltage, and compressor amps. Checked refrigerant pressures and found refrigerant levels to be in appropriate range. System is functioning properly at time of service. Customer would like to move forw

Luis 1-8-26 Performed precision heat tune up on 17 year old Goodman 80% gas furnace. Replaced 20x25x1 air filter. Checked all electrical conections and components. Clean flame sensor and burners, inspect ignition system, blower system and combustion removal. Performed combustion test ok heater is running poor. Heat exchanger is running at higher temperatures than normal. This could bring issues with heat exchanger and other components, would recommend replacing system for safety purposes. At this time combustion results are within range.

Luis 1-7-26 performed quality assurance on recently installed single head mini split uni. Check indoor and outdoor connections electrical and copper piping. Found unit running low on refrigerant, heat mode supply temp 70. Tried ac mode and pressure was 20 psi. We need to come back and pressure test system. There are line set connections on third floor right by unit inside closet. I visualize check connections no signs of leaks (standing press 100 psi. Office to follow up with customer.

Issue was they would wake up and temperature in house would be 61° on some mornings. He is using a schedule. I went through configuration. Aux heat lockout 35°F. Compressor lockout disabled. Good. Set defrost termination temperature to High in configuration I also noticed the thermostat was displaying 2° lower than the temperature read by a probe. Showed him how to use “Hold Temp” as opposed to a schedule. Checked pressures as compared to chart matches 65-67 psi suction pressure with outdoor temperature 33°F. During my time here thermostat satisfied. System operating well at this time.

Fully assessed 2020 goodman 48,000 btu heat pump system. Checked temperature rise it was 26 degrees. Checked 410a refrigerant pressures they were 308/112. Tested 15 kw emergency heat. Tested new capacitor ( installed by another company). Checked compressor running amps was 15 amps, start up amps 52. Found that there is some returns but possibly not enough. Customer is getting $800.00 electric bills and has re insulated the attic and also added some new patio doors. Recommend to customer to call our office to get a load count done and have the ductwork assessed to make sure it is adequate. Heat pump is working properly at time of service.

Performed precision heat tune up on Luxaire gas furnace and heat pump . Replaced dirty 16x20x1 air filter. Checked temperature rise in heat pump mode and gas furnace mode. Cleaned flame sensor. Found some rust pitting in heat exchanger and burners were also very rusted and corroded. Serviced humidifier with #35 humidifier pad. . Checked 410a refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Tested outdoor capacitor. Inspected coils. After fully assessing system recommend upgrading system. Homeowner would like to be contacted to set up appointment ( he did not know a specific date while on site). System is working at time of service.

I arrived to the customers home for a rumbling sound at the air handler. Before I started the system, I looked at the thermostat found was set at 74° and was satisfied at 74°. I checked the air filter and it was clogged and needed to be replaced. I replaced the filter I tested electric heat, heat pump mode and defrost .
