Checked the AC side of the system . Checked the air filter and replaced. Checked the wiring connections and the voltages on high volt and low volt. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the drain line. Checked the blower condition and inspected the blower amps and tested for static pressure. Went to the outdoor unit and inspected the wiring connections and the components . Checked and tested the pressures by using superheat and sub cooling methods. Checked the amps for the compressor and the fan motor and checked the indoor cooling temps at the supply and return. The AC system is working fine at this time of service.

Installed new goodman indoor coil and A/C outdoor. Placed indoor coil on existing oil furnace adding metal transition between coil and furnace. Adapted supply and tapped/ caulked all ductwork. Ran new condensate line with ez trap and condensate pump. Ran new vinyl tubing from condensate pump to outside. Reused existing thermostat and wired low volt and safeties. Installed dragon fly board inside oil furnace to adapt to R32 function. Flushed existing lineset and connected to new equipment. Installed new goodman A/C outdoor on leveled pad. Installed new disconnect with surge protector and wired into outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.

Luis 7-3-25 return visit to replace indoor drain pan for evaporator coil, I was able to slide old pan by disconnecting drain, exhaust and intake, once we installed new drain pan test operation, pour water inside pan and check drain line ok test pump ok. Drain pan is now draining properly. (Did not had to cut refrigeration lines).

I arrived to the customers home for a comfort issue. I started with the downstairs unit found the air filter was clogged. I quoted the customer for a new air filter. He approved the filter price. I removed the old filter and replaced with a new 213. I checked the blower speed and found sufficient. I showed the customer how to adjust his dampers on his ductwork from his first floor to second floor to move more air upstairs we checked the conditions of the first floor of second floor much better airflow the customer will let us know how the conditions are if anything has changed . Recovered and weighed refrigerant in system. Installed new piston (size 076) with new o-ring. Pressure tested system @ 315 psi nitrogen for 10 min. Evacuated system to industry standards. Also made sure vacuum stayed below 1000 microns with pump valved OFF, Charged system 105oz R410A. Rm system and made sure charge was good based on superheat. Final temperature split (74.8-55.9=18.9°) Goos Final pressures 98/260 12 SH 2.1 SC. System operating well at this time.

Arrived to the customers home to look at an indoor coil pan that’s leaking. I removed the doors of the coil and started inspecting the drain pan. The pan has a leak towards the front at the primary and secondary ports. The pan should be covered under warranty, but there will be labor charges to replace the coil pan. May need to pump down the outdoor unit and cut the line set, possibly cut the exhaust and fresh air pipe and to remove the drain line , it has a union. This will allow full access to remove the coil to drop the cracked pan . 3 to 4 hrs labor for the pan swap out.collected for diagnostic fee. I also left a estimate for a service contract.

Arrived for no cooling. I went up to air handler in the attic found air filter was clogged. I replaced for the customer chargeable I inspected the indoor coil and airflow. I went to the outdoor unit , and have good standing pressure. When turning on the system, it locked out on a failed start circuit. I tested the dual capacitor and it’s failed . I quoted the customer for a new dual capacitor, and he approved the repair. I removed the failed capacitor and replaced with the new one and then tested system operation. Everything is back up and running at this time of service I collected for the repair the air filter and diagnostic. I did leave an estimate for a contract for the customer to review.

installed new trane airhandler on existing return base with a new aprilaire 213 filter rack. Installed new electric 10kw heat kit. Adapted to existing supply duct work, installed a new ez trap, condensation pump and vinyl tubing to the outside discharge point. Installed a new outlet for the condensate pump. Installed new trane heat pump on snow legs and new concrete pad, re leveled the ground before installing unit. Ran new refrigeration lineset, brazed with nitrogen purging, pressure test to 350 psi and leak check all joints before evacuating system down to 500 microns. Installed new rectorseal disconnect with a built in surge protector. Did not have a the right style motor surge protector to install, Will have to install at QA Tested all functions of the new system, working great at time of completion.

I arrived to the customers home second floor system not working. I Went to the outdoor unit found an error code for L1, Which is a low pressure lock out . I went to the system in the attic. The zones are calling for Cool and the fan is running. I looked at the 413 air filter and it was clogged. I replaced the air filter and reset the system . I went back outside to check my pressures, the unit came back on my first stage looked good and my second stage looked good. My splits were return 82° and supply 62° a 20 ° split. The system is back up and running at this time of service .

I arrived for no cooling for the older sanctuary unit. I checked the indoor units and they are running getting a call for Cooling. but the outdoor is not coming on. I opened up the service compartment and found an error code for a low pressure . I reset the unit and checked my pressures and found very low on charge. The customer would like an estimate made up by Joe and then be reviewed by the church. I billed out for my diagnostics .

Installed new Goodman indoor furnace and coil. Adapted to supply and made custom plenum. Reconnected return flex duct. Adapted to existing pvc gravity fed drain. Installed new wet switch and an ez-trap. Installed new switch and outlet. Installed new Goodman outdoor unit. Leveled and placed a new pad. Installed new Mars disconnect with surge protector. Brazed in and pressure tested. Pulled vacuum down to 500 microns. And charged system. Need to come back to install filter rack, venting, gas line, and horizontal drain kit. Tested air conditioning working great at time of completion.

Fully assessed noise situation. Found 2 pole 40 amp contactor buzzing loudly. Got homeowner to cycle system a few times and found contactor not pulling in correctly causing the noise. Replaced 2 pole contactor and tested operation. Homeowner signed up for the maintenance plan for discounts on repairs. Checked 410a refrigerant pressures they were 307/132 with 8 degrees subcooling. Checked temperature split it was 18 degrees. System is working properly at time of service. Would recommend starting to think about replacement.

Customer called in for no cooling. Unit blows, but it doesn’t blow any cool air, found thermostat set to cool 65 room temp 85. Indoor blower runs but not the compressor, inspect indoor coil and blower. Coil is restricting flow. See photos. Needs new filter. Went outside and checked compressor, found open capacitor, after troubleshooting entire system. Noticed indoor unit is from 2009 and outdoor heat pump is from 2014. Uses r22. Provided estimate for repairs and recommendations. I would also recommend getting an estimate to replace full system. Customer agreed on getting unit to working order for now and we will provide estimate for installation. During today’s visit new standard capacitor was replaced and also customer signed up for service plan in heat pump. Office to follow up with regards tune up. Home comfort consultant to come on July 15 at 3 pm.

Replacing all of the boards was the conclusion after the call with technical support from the manufacturer. 6/30/25. Replaced a total of 4 control boards total. (1) outdoor board , (2) indoor head control boards and (1) cassette indoor head. Tested operation. Also homeowner wanted an estimate to replace insulation on linsets at outdoor unit took photos and provided estimate. After replacing all boards got everything to come on then after about 15 minutes outside unit control board started smoking. There was more damage from this storm than just the control boards. Recommend to homeowner to put the money from the repair into replacement of the system. She is going to discuss with her husband and go from here.

6/28/25 Barry Kathy explained that even when she set fan to Auto and minimum fan run tike to 0 minutes, the indoor fan ran all night. The fan as not on when I arrived. Checked Ecobee settings including comfort settings Checked wiring for any possible shorts,/issues. None They want a new Ecobee pro thermostat. I didn’t have one on truck. Johnstone is closed Saturday. Tested cooling. Temperature split and refrigerant pressures: Good System will operate well. If the fan kicks on there is no risk of it burning up the motor. We will schedule to replace Ecobee under warranty.

Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment. Found old air handler was 120v had to disconnect different breaker in panel to make it 240v. Customer will have electrician come to fix panel. Customer called into the office for second floor unit not working properly blank thermostat. Customer stated she went on and switched thermostat from heat to cool and suddenly blank thermostat check operation of the system. Found a blown fuse inside the heater. Check for any visual and obvious shorts to ground. Nothing shorter the ground inserted new fuse and test operation system came on test AC unit OK check supply and return air temps ok. Would recommend service plan on both units so we can fully check ac units. Refrigerant levels and pressures ok. Would recommend getting new filters and also provide estimate to install surge protectors.

Clean blower compartment. 06/27/25 I turned power off to the system, and I began cleaning the blower compartment and the wheel. Once that was completed. I put the doors back on and powered the system back on . I turned the power off to the outdoor unit and removed the failing capacitor and replaced with new . I powered the system back on and tested system operation. Everything is back up and running at this time of service collected for balance.

Land lord called if for no cooling on rental property, talked to tenant upon arrival thermostat saying lost power. Check wiring no voltage at thermostat. Found emergency switch off at top of stairs. Turn switch on and make sure nothing else was the issue. Checked ac operation ok. Supply air and return ok. Filter needs to be replaced (currently dirty restricting flow). Went outside and check refrigerant levels ok. Cycle ac unit ok. During today’s visit I did notice unit does not have water protection in case indoor coil drain get clogged water will leak into heater electrical and heat exchanger. Also no surge/spike/brown out protection. Provided estimate to add these safeties to unit.

6/27/25 Tan Performed QA on heat pump installed on 6/4. Client (Amanda) was very happy with our install team and hardly noticed they were in the home. System is a Bosch heat pump 3-ton indoor and outdoor. Checked indoor unit in cooling Y1 and Y2 wiring was correct with ecobee thermostat to stage properly. All thermostat wiring and line wiring are tight and secure. Checked airflow and found it good. Ductwork is sealed with no gaps. Dip switch settings set for Tap 2 for 1st stage at 1000 and Tap 4 for 2nd stage at 1300cfm at .3”wc Found 20° split in cooling and 30° in heating Confirmed 15kw electric heat working Amp draw are good. Thermostat settings are correct and leveled Outdoor unit and rector seal are leveled with sealed lineset Charge is good with proper amp draws. Settings at outdoor unit are default, no need to adjust at this time as customer has no complaints with comfort. Schrader caps were loose when they should be wrench tight to prevent leaks from faulty schraders. I tighte

I called DiBiase for "no heat" and they sent a service technician right away. Dan arrived and determined the issue was the burner motor on a 19 year old furnace. They were able to order the part and Dan had it installed the next day and the furnace is now working fine. Fixing it was $8K less than purchasing a new furnace, and hopefully my furnace lasts at least 2 more years so the part pays for itself.
