Luis 5-13-26 Performed ac tune up on Bosch 3 ton heat pump system, check, indoor coils, flush drain test condensate pump inspect blower motor check air filter ok. Check supply and return air temps. Check outdoor unit coils and electrical refrigerant levels ok. Cycle heat pump ok. System is working properly at the time of service. During today’s visit I wired humidifier to thermostat, now is connected to u1 on EMI and thermostat.

I arrived for a no Cooling call on a Maytag 10 yr old system. Blank thermostat due to the water safety tripped. I started with inspecting the indoor unit. I checked the filter and it was dirty , but replaced on site (supplied by the customer) . I made sure the blower motor runs , and that the indoor coil was free of ice or debri. I did remove some water from the pan . I reset the switch and I went to the outdoor unit . I hooked up my gauges and found the system was very low on charge had a 42° super heat and 2° sub cool . I talked everything over with the customers and we all agreed to have a estimate scheduled for pricing on new AC equipment. They are scheduled for Sunday at noon. I collected for $149 for diagnostics for today paid by credit card.

Luis 2-19-26 customer has oil boiler, summer winter set up, has mixing valve. Customer states he does not hit water during cold temperatures. I check aqua start settings, 200/160 oil boiler is around 19 years old. I provided estimate to install electric water heater, there is a 230 volt wire that used to be hot water back before replacing oil boiler, 30 amp breaker, we will need 60 amp disconnect and run wire to new location of waste heater, (next to boiler), I would also recommend getting an estimate to replace boiler, (boiler block is leaking). Home comfort consultant to come out tomorrow at 10 am.

Luis 2-16-26 performed heat pump inspection on 2020 Bosch inverter system, (air handler does not have any back up heat) they use electric baseboard as back up heat. Check all electrical connections and components, inspect air filter. I left new filter for customer to replace it soon. I check airflow and temperature rise ok 87/64 check outdoor heat pump check all electrical and refrigeration numbers from inverter board. Test defrost ok. As unit goes into defrost cold air is coming from air vents. System is running properly at the time of service.

I arrived for a heat pump not keeping up with temperature. I started downstairs at the air handler. I had a 64 return and a 92 supply heat pump was running only but auxiliary was not running. I opened up the air handler. The board had a (E0) code. Which is a EEPROM malfunction. I checked all my connections and reset the system for 10 min . I turned the system on and the thermostat read heat 2 which is the auxiliary heat kicking in with the heat pump now my temperature went from 92° supply to 119° system is back up and running again. I did put a call into carrier for them to call me back . so I collected for my time and diagnosis for today.

Replaced 70/7.5 uF dual capacitor at outdoor unit. Origin capacitor was very weak. Reading 28uF. Afterwards tested system. Measured amp draw of start winding to capacitor 8.6A Good. Measured temperature rise @ air handler. 66-86=20° Good Outdoor dry bulb temperature 16°F System operating well at this time. Collected balance

I arrived for a thermostat not working. I found condensation pump was running nonstop. I traced out my 3/8 tubing and it ran outside with the line set. It had about 6 foot a line outside the wall, it was frozen, I cut the line out, sealed up the access. Then I rerouted the 3/8 tubing to the basement sink and used PVC to guide water into the sink for the 3/8 tubing. No charge . The system is back up and running.

Neighbor came over and told me she can smell oil. Duplex house. She lives on the other side. Robert doesn’t come down to basement often Found copious oil in equipment pan, blower compartment and filter rack. Cleaned as much as possible and left paper towels to absorb oil that is under furnace where I cannot get to it. Replaced failed wet switch. Used (2) burner gaskets folded in half and placed under bottom half of burner so that burner is pitched in such a way that oil will spray into combustion chamber. Changed post purge time from 0:00 to 1 min. Completed oil Heat tune up. Replaced Aprilaire 413 filter. Heat exchanger and flues are clean. Replaced RF1 oil filter, replaced .60 80A nozzle and arranged electrodes. Combustion smoke and draft test: Pass Set new humidifier to 35%. Pad is new. Tested operations and water leaks. We will have to make a return visit to pick up the towels that are used to wick up any oil left in pan and assess the oil leak situation further. After my fi
