Job Locations and Reviews
Installed new Trane furnace on 30x30 pan with wet switch. All new return drop and boot with 2410 AprilAire filter box. New condensate pump with vinyl and an EZ Trap. Adapted to existing fuel line and vent runs. Installed VZ pro blower surge protector. Cleaned work area and tested all operations.
Issue is with the nest thermostat itself. This is a different zone and nest from last time. 1st floor master bedroom. When I showed up the “system error” was not displayed on the master bedroom thermostat. Checked wiring connections at thermostat subbase. I went to zone valves at boiler. The return temperature measured with a pipe clamp thermocouple rose from 134-160 degrees during the time I was keeping eye on boiler. Also double checked Hydrostat settings Hi limit 180, Lo Limit OFF, Economy OFF meaning the boiler cycles on when temperature drops to 170, then back off at 180° Baseboard pipe temperature in master bedroom 160° Boiler is performing as designed. If this issue recurs there will be a diagnostic fee charged. Provided email estimate for (5) Ecobee premium thermostats.
Set new unit on new return box. Adapted to Supply duct and installed new return drop with slim fit filter rack. Adapted linest to new unit. Made all high and low voltage connections to unit. Ran new condensate drain with ez trap to new condensate pump. Wired all safeties to break 24v R call to thermostat. Set new unit on pad on existing wall bracket. Hung new rectorseal disconnect on wall. Adapted lineset to new unit. Brazed pressure 5ested evacuated and charged system. Made all high and low voltage connections. Performed all test out procedures cleaned all work areas and reviewed installation with homeowner.
Luis 12-8-25 performed gas heat tune up on 15 year old heater 80% 70 Btu. Check all electrical connections and components, check air delivery system, combustion removal system and ignition systems. All components are original to heater. Ignition components showing wear. I did cycle heater couple times and performed combustion test ok check supply and return air temps ok. Would recommend getting an estimate to replace system. Home comfort consultant to come our Wednesday 17, 2025 between 9 and 10 window full system and water heater.
Estimate
Kitchen thermostat giving error codes relate to voltage or overcurrent. And new (as of this summer) Nests resorting to “Eco mode” overnight. I measured voltage between Rh and C and Rc and C both 28V good. Voltage between W and C when there is a call for heat is 28 as well. Considering this the thermostat screen itself is malfunctioning. I took common and W conductor out of subbase as well as Rc and Rh and made sure connections were good. She is going to return and get a new thermostat for this zone “Kitchen”; I offered Ecobee for pro thermostat for this zone. She still has control of heat using the app just the thermostat display is a problem. Disabled home and away on the app (can no longer do this from the thermostat itself on this generation of nest). which should stop thermostat from resorting to Eco mode when an unoccupied period happens I.e. overnight. They had another contractor replace zone valve at boiler and purge the system. The boiler zones were also correctly ident
Excellent
Luis and Conner 11-18-25 performed heat tune up on 80% 80000 Btu heater. Check all electrical connections and components, replace air filter. Check all ignition system, air delivery and combustion systems ok. Performed combustion test on heater ok. Check supply and return air temps ok. Service humidifier test operation ok set to winter 35%. Noticed water heater is 10 year old. Some of the connections showing leaks. Provided estimate to replace water heater. I also provided estimate to replace expansion tank with new piping. Customer decided to go with a new water heater office to follow up with customer. I did collected 50% for deposit.
Installed new Trane furnace and coil on bump up box. Adapted to metal and exhaust vent. New EZ trap and condensate pump with vinyl. Adapted to gas line. Installed blower surge protector. Luis 10-28-25 customer called in for boiler not heating, 200 amp electric boiler from 1979 Weil McLain. Customer stated steam was coming out of the boiler. Found no pressure on boiler. Water feeder not working add water manually, test operation found all contactor in bad shape. When we were testing boiler I noticed Temp got up to 20 degrees. Limit is not working currently set to 180 high 160 low. Boiler parts are original to boiler. I provided estimate for failed part and also recommendations on some of the other parts. Final recommendation is to upgrade boiler to propane high efficiency boiler. Home comfort consultant to come later on today. I would not recommend running boiler under these conditions for safety purposes.
I arrived to the customers house for no heat. Found the inducer motor assembly was seized up. I pulled the inducer just to check for any obstructions motor is seized.
