I arrived to the customers home to perform a Q.A. Inspection on there new 2 stage Trane 95% gas furnace and heat pump . I started with checking the air filter , the filter size is a 16x25x1 supplied by the customer. . I checked the overall neatness and performance of the newly installed system. I checked over all system accessories. I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I water tested all tubing and hoses. I inspected the exhaust and fresh air pipe for restrictions and bellies. I inspected the inducer and the blower motor operation. I checked and tested for combustion and temp splits. I looked at the overall install of the outdoor heat pump I checked the system level and the level of the disconnect. Made sure all penetrations were sealed. Checked the electrical connections and checked for caps. Both sides of the system look good.
Luis 2-4-26 customer called in for water dripping from hvac. Attic system is air handler and wired to ac only, customer showed me where water was coming from. Couple of the supply registers, main trunk. And return box. After troubleshooting system, found natural draft is getting into duct system and condensing inside duct. Current ducts are old, return box is in bad shape. I would recommend blocking off all registers and return for now. I would also recommend home energy assessment to go over any improvements for attic and replacing ductwork.
Reviewed jobsite photos from Kurt and created estimate for 2nd floor system replacement and emailed to Paul
Performed precision heat tune up on 2025 heat pump system. Replaced 20x23x1 air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked temperature rise. Tested emergency heat. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures at indoor and outdoor unit. Heat pump system is working properly at time of service. 2nd floor system 1993 2 ton heat pump . Found only 53 psi standing r-22 pressure in the system. Heat pump was in 3 feet snow drift. Went up in attic and found blower wheel bent, blower motor locked up, condensation line broken at coil drain pan, and auxiliary pan cracked in half. Because of all these issues system is not repairable and would recommend replacement. Our office to email over replacement quote.
Customer has no heat on a 4 yr old 95% Amana furnace . On arrival I talked with the customer and she had said it would run and shut off and run for a bit and then shut off and then it wouldn’t come back on. I came down to the furnace, and it had an error code EE0 which is an ignition tried multiple times . The System is L.P. Gas, I found she has 10” of w.c. Coming in for her propane. I looked at my burners and they were very dirty. I quoted a price for cleaning the burner tubes . She approved the cleaning. I’m also going to give her an estimate for new (4) stainless steel burner tubes. I tested the equipment it’s back up and running at this time .
Installed new trane gas furnace and heat pump outdoor. Built new supply and added a new return air base for furnace. Reused existing return and tapped/caulked duct work. Adapted high volt and installed new outlet and switch. Adapted flue pipes and gas line. Installed new low tank cut off on gas line. Ran new condensate line and installed new ez trap and condensate pump. Ran new vinyl tubing from condensate pump to sewer line located in basement. Installed new thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Ran new line set and connected to new equipment. Installed new heat pump outdoor on leveled pad with snow legs. Installed new rector seal disconnect and wired into outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.

12/04/25 Dan I arrived to the customers home for no heat. I found the roll out safety was tripped. I reset the roll out and tested the system operation. Found the 2nd burner from the left and the last burner on the right was rolling out the flame . I checked my combustion and it rose quickly I stopped it at 386 ppm. I performed a smoke test and it failed . The heat exchanger is compromised. I red tagged the furnace and turned the system off for safety. The office will contact the customers in the am to schedule an estimate. I did leave estimates for warranty and non warranty heat exchanger. But I highly recommended the customer goes with new system installation.
11/11/25 Dan I arrived for no heat . Error for pressure switch. I started with the drain tubes and tested , and checked the inducer for restrictions . I was able to get the system started and found burners not firing correctly. Burner tubes were clogged causing a flame impingement. I cleaned the burner tubes and then tested the system operation and combustion. I did recommend replacement of the burner tubes and adding a service contract . The customers will review there estimates. I collected for 268.62 for today’s service. Paid by cc.
