10-20-25 Luis. Second opinion, customer has heat pump with propane heater as back up. Three zone system (infinity communication zoning system) I was able to locate all dampers. Two of them are tide together 8x24 motor on the 24. Other two for the addition part are 12x8 with motor on the 8 side. Both thermostats for the addition are 5 conductors and main thermostat has 8 conductors. Zoning system is not working it does not bring the heat. I test heater by jumping at the unit, heater came on and test operation gas valve makes loud noise. I also seen some water under the combustion removal system. I explained situation to customer and provided estimate to replace parts. And also new zoning system. Customer will decide what he wants to do and then call office. Due to age and condition would recommend system replacement.

Found failed 70uF capacitor and 7.5uF capacitor reading weak, wiring terminal completely disconnected. 2 pole contactor clicking. Offered to replace dual run capacitor. and contactor. Issue is one of controls and understanding the layout of ductwork and equipment. The thermostat in the master bedroom controls the ducts on the left side of the house 1st and second floors. The thermostat in the dining room controls the system on the right side of the house and the ducts 1st and second floors. Because the thermostat for the right side of the house is located on first floor (Dining room), there is still a demand for cooling on the bedrooms above it within that system. Need a WiFi thermostat with room sensor. Have the equipment be controlled by room sensor installed in the desired bedroom. Her other thermostats are Honeywell. So she wants to stick with Honeywell. She will have to download residio home app and connect the thermostats to it. Current app she is using is outdated. Found disconnect off for 2nd Floor system. Second floor has several skylights the seals of which are old and homeowners are aware that they are leaky. Allowed system to run and had homeowner close all windows on second floor. Ran system for 10 minutes. Used manufacturer chart for target subcooling based on indoor coil. Target subcooling is 5 + or - 1°. System running within range. Temperature split was 18.4° Has high electric bills in winter. Auxiliary use was set to comfort t each thermostat. I changed to 2.5° droop. Thermostats have no outdoor sensors and are not WiFi. There is 18/8 wire at each thermostat. We can install Ecobee for Pro thermostats to control electric heat use. Left email estimates. She typically leaves thermostat cooling set point at 80 or higher. I told her to keep 1st and second floor at 76° and see how they perform. 2Nd Floor AC System is almost completely empty of R22 refrigerant. Filter clean. 0 temperature split. Water around indoor coil from previous freeze ups. Pulldown access for attic 3.5 Ton AC with 80%eff 100,000 BTU furnace Natural gas. Furnace 43x28x20 (HxDxW) Coil 20x20.75x19.75 (HxDxW) Horizontal left, in a metal pan equipment on foam block. 2 wire prestige thermostat with outdoor sensor.
