Air Sealing and Insulation Project * Install rafter vents at attic roofline to ensure ventilation is not negatively impacted by adding insulation. * Move insulation and air seal attic plane with single part spray foam and place insulation back into place. * Add more insulation into attic space with blown in insulation to achieve desired R-value. Bathroom fan vented to ridge vent in main attic space. Customer requested no Blower Door testing be run at time of install
DiBiase performed full house duct sealing and an extensive insulation upgrade to our home. Sealing products and insulation were used along the inside edges of the basement, along with sealing the air duct tubes. Rolled sheets of insulation, along with broken pieces of insulation were blown into the attic and into the ceiling of the garage. A blower test was performed before the work was performed and after all the work was completed. With this upgrade a 10% improvement was expected, however we received a 25% improvement! The two employees that performed the work, Conner and Liz were excellent! They were very professional, pleasant and hard working. Additionally, they did a very thorough job of cleaning up. The service technician, Brian that originally came to our home for the quote was also very professional and personable. I would highly recommend this company for your cooling, heating and insulation needs!
Hi Diana! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for the kind words about Conner, Liz, and Brian! We're thrilled to hear about the outstanding 25% improvement — well above expectations! Our team takes great pride in providing professional service and attention to detail from start to finish. We truly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to helping with any future heating, cooling, or insulation needs!

No cooling Found 0 volts at high voltage disconnect for outdoor unit (heat pump) The breaker for the heat pump is double pole 50A EATOn was tripped. Resetting with the leads detached at outdoor disconnect and it still tripped. I tightened one connection at breaker as it was slightly loose and reset. Did not trip. However I tested breaker by flipping a few time it trips without any load once every 3-4 times. Breaker is beginning to fail. I don’t have a 50A double pole EATon on the truck. Will be an intermittent issue until electricians replace breaker and/or address any other issue with panel or wire feeding outdoor heat pump. Breaker for outdoor unit is 3rd double pole from the top on right hand side. Does not follow panel label. Checked all wiring in outdoor unit. Ok recommend hard start assist to minimize inrush current during AC start up. Can also prolong compressor life. Homeowners agreed. I installed and tested today. Which is correct size breaker. It is not where it labe

Ran vinyl tubing from condensate pump to outside. Installed new ecobee thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Fished new wire for thermostat due to old one not having enough wires. Drilled hole through concrete wall in the basement for line set. Ran new lineset and connected to new equipment. Installed new heat pump outdoor on leveled pad with snow legs. Installed new disconnect with surge protector and wired into outdoor unit. Installed new 30amp double pull breaker and ran new wire for outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.

PECO Air Sealing and Insulation Project * Perform blower door test and calculate target for the home. * Install rafter vents at attic roofline to ensure ventilation is not negatively impacted by adding insulation. * Move insulation and air seal attic plane with single part spray foam and place insulation back into place. * Add more insulation into attic space with blown in insulation to achieve desired value. * Install insulation and 2” foamboard in the kneewalls of the fourth floor finished attic space. * Perform duct sealing for all accessible ductwork in basement area including register boots. * Perform test out blower door test to validate results from air sealing.

Performed tune up on carrier ac, tested indoor units blower motor, and temperature split . Tested outdoor units electrical components, tested compressor, fan motor and refrigerant levels and capacitor. No issues were found whatsoever with the function of the unit, went over customers bill and she used almost half the electric as last month and her service provider (not peco) charged her double the amount.
Tony was nice, knowledgeable and easy to talk to about the Mitsubishi product. Although I am interviewing another company next week, I am feeling good about DiBiase. Tony reviews and provided with everything I need to assisting in decision making.

Estimate

Checked the a/c side of the system. Checked the air filter and replaced. Inspected the wiring connections and the voltages. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the coil pan and the condensate drain line and inspected the condensate pump. Checked the blower motor condition and checked the amp draws . Checked the outdoor unit pressures by using super heat and sub cool methods. Inspected the capacitor and checked the amperage for the fan motor and the compressor. Checked the indoor cooling splits at the return and the supply. The a/c system is working fine at this time of service.

Found zero volts at equipment. Emergency switch at the top of steps to second floor was off. The junction box where the switch leg is wired had loose wire and small part of cloth-sheathed wire was bare. I tightened connection and taped bare section. I informed the manager on site that the where the emergency switch is and that it must be ON. Tested system operations. Ok It will take a few hours for the system to cool the building to the setpoint. Strongly recommend following through with estimates provided to upgrade HVAC equipment.
