Completed QA for 2.5 Ton Heat pump with propane furnace install: Made slight adjustment to TXV to get 12° SH 7°SC Soap bubbled gas line from furnace shut off to gas valve. Inlet pressure 12” Set low fire pressure to 6” Hi fire pressure to 10” Performed combustion test: Pass Checked thermostat configuration. Balance point 30 degrees, auxiliary heat lockout 45° and above Verified all CoolCloud settings/configurations. Tested water safeties. They are wired in series to produce a custom alert at thermostat and shut down cooling and heating instantly then energize fan. Homeowner already had the propane company run the propane line to the gas stove. Homeowner gave me a check for $250 for full amount of job to account for full invoice before PECO rebate. Install passes QA inspection.
I arrived to the customers home to service their 1 yr old 95% Trane gas furnace system. I started with checking the air filter and replaced , the filter size is 16x24x1 . I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected the heat exchanger and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I water tested all tubing and hoses and inspected the collector box . I inspected the exhaust and fresh air pipe for restrictions and bellies. I inspected the inducer and the blower motor operation. I checked and tested for combustion and took temp rise splits at the return and the supply. Everything is running fine at this time of service.
Luis 8-31-26 Customer called for no cooling. Customer stated they noticed AC not cooling Sunday afternoon. Found system in the off position two zone system, both thermostat set to off with fan on. Turn both thermostats to cooling and check system operation. Indoor unit is blowing air and showing stage two cooling but outside unit it’s not coming on. System is two stage communicated Amana ac unit. Reset power to outdoor unit and unit came on, test system operation ok no issues found. I isolated outdoor transformer and wired R AND C from indoor heater. Most likely customer had power outage for second or two and computer did not had enough time to restore. System is working properly. Provided estimate to add standalone dehumidifier for the basement
1 arrived for the 2nd floor not blowing cold air , and he said the 1st floor was doing the same thing. I went to both units in the basement and had home turn down both thermostats. Both units came on and ran fine. I checked both air filters and found clogged . I replaced the air filters supplied by the customer. Splits on both units and I had good pressures on the outside for both units. I also went through and checked the electrical connections and checked both capacitors and everything‘s within range could be a possible intermittent issue but I believe it was the air filters that was causing the issue with the airflow on both systems, I told customer if this happens again to leave the systems alone and we can come back out to see if there’s any kind of error codes , I could not replicate an issue today. Customer does not owe anything. He has 10 years parts and labor on both systems.
8/31/26 Dan I arrived to the customers home to service their 8 yr old 90% gas furnace system. I started with checking the air filter and replaced , the filter size is 16x25x1. I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I also serviced the customers mini split on the 2nd floor . I started with the indoor head and checked the wiring connections and the voltages . I pulled and cleaned the air filters if needed. I inspected the blower wheel and the cleanliness of the indoor mini split head . I tested the drain line and tested the fan speeds with the remote for proper op
8/28/26 Dan I arrived to the customers home to look at a comfort issue. I did my walk-through with the customer. They have a seven year old Trane AC system. They been having issues with moisture coming through the wall in the garage where there’s a piece of duct and down in the basement in the corner the duct sweats on hot and humid 90° days. I checked my humidity levels in the house and there roughly anywhere from 55% to 60% from the basement to the 2nd floor. I cleaned the filters and my temp splits are good from the supply and the return. 1st floor to second floor is about a 3° to 4° differential which isn’t too bad but on a hotter day these numbers very well could change. I recommended a whole house dehumidifier. I did leave a price in estimates for the customers to review. I Collected diagnostics for today, but I also recommended in having somebody seal their ductwork I collected for 99.00 diagnostics, paid by cc.
8/27/26. Found outside amana inverter a/c installed by dibiase in 2020. Found outside unit locked out on code 32 which is outside unit locked out due to inverter board overheating. Looked up this error code and 1st troubleshooting step is to reset power. Reset power and everything came on and was running just fine. Any further issues they recommended replacing outside inverter board and compressor discharge temperature sensor together. Suggested we perform tune up on 1st floor system since it was installed 6 years ago and never had a tune up done. Performed tune up on a/c system. 16x24x1 air filter is ok. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Did find that after resetting furnace indoor control board did not bring on blower after zone board called for blower. If further issues should verify with tech support next steps 1st. A/c is working properly at time of service.
8/26/26. Performed precision a/c tune up on 2008 Bryant heat pump system. Checked all electrical connections and components. 20x25x1 air filter is ok. Found no drain protection on air handler itself, provided estimate to install ez trap. Also checked temperature split. Found evaporator coil is in rough shape and is rusting away. Also found bacterial growth on coil, provided estimate to install uv light. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Tested outdoor capacitor. Found after shutting down system just to test outdoor capacitor, compressor went into thermal overload. After system was re energized compressor came back on after about 7 minutes of run time. Would recommend getting a replacement estimate, system is cooling at time of service.
Dan was on time and very efficient. He explained everything on details and gave different opinions based on my budget.
Resolved the issue just a few hours after call, I’m pleased with their service.
Great service as always. Very thorough and courteous
The Service Manager saw a message that I had posted on Nextdoor.com about a banging sound coming from our furnace when the blower was on. He sent their tech Kurt Manges out for a diagnostic check. Kurt solved what others could not. The problem was the new air filter was not large enough. A simple solution for what we feared was a major problem. Honesty and expertise was what we received from DiBiase. Don’t hesitate to call them.
Daniel came early and he was very nice, explained the situation and fixed it same day.
This was the second time Joe has been to my house. He is very personable and explains things so that you have an understanding of the services that were done. He is thorough and takes his time to address any issues that you may be having. Bill and Edward were assisting Joe and they were both very nice as well. All employees at DiBiase that have been to my house are always very nice and respectful. I highly recommend this company.
Dan always does a great job servicing my AC and I feel very comfortable with him in my home. He explains things thoroughly and goes the extra mile.
Dan was sent to do a post-installation quality check on my first floor HVAC system that was installed at the end of April 2026. Dan was on time and worked in a timely manner. He is very courteous and has a friendly personality. I highly recommend DiBiase Heating and Cooling based on the interactions that I have had with the various employees that have either done HVAC installations and/or maintenance checks in follow-up.
