Job Locations and Reviews

Upon arrival I cycled system in cooling and proceeded to outdoor unit. Inspected outdoor coil and condenser fan. Checked electrical connections and components on outdoor unit. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. I then proceeded to indoor unit. Checked air filter. Inspected evaporator coil and drain pan. Cleared and tested drain line. Inspected blower assembly and electrical connections. Checked static pressure and temperature differentials. System is operating appropriately at this time.

Issue was outdoor equipment not coming on. Cleared EZ trap. Replaced filter provided by homeowner. System ran ok for 5 minutes but stopped. Outdoor ambient sensor to the Arzel board has failed. Giving an outdoor temperature of 32° thereby keeping outdoor unit from running. Research Arzel troubleshooting guide. Followed their procedure for jumping the R and W terminals of the sensor terminal block to trick the control into an outdoor temperature reading of 200°F so system will run. We will research and provide estimate to replace outdoor temperature sensor. Need to contact Arzel for this. Also noticed refrigerant pressures a little low. Running at 3.3° Subcooling. 20° superheat. Suction line not condensing. Target subcooling 8-10° Left email estimate to charge system up to 2# R410A refrigerant and add leak detection dye. He will consider doing that when we can get failed outdoor temperature sensor. System operating ok for now. He renewed plan membership and paid for diagnostic fee

Checked the AC side of the system . Checked the air filter and replaced. Checked the wiring connections and the voltages on high volt and low volt. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the drain line. Checked the blower condition and inspected the blower amps and tested for static pressure. Went to the outdoor unit and inspected the wiring connections and the components . Checked and tested the pressures by using superheat and sub cooling methods. Checked the amps for the compressor and the fan motor and checked the indoor cooling temps at the supply and return. The AC system is working fine at this time of service.
Great response to get our right away and solve our issue.

Fully assessed cooling situation. Found indoor blower motor at furnace running with call from cooling from the thermostat but no outdoor unit. Found outdoor AC locked out on a code 4. Which means locked rotor or failed capacitor. Tested 45/5 capacitor and found it was reading zero. Replaced capacitor and tested operation. Customer signed up for maintenance agreement. Also found very dirty condenser coil at outdoor unit. Homeowner is going to clean the coil himself. Need to schedule a time to return to complete maintenance. AC is working fine at time of service.

Upon arrival I found indoor board status light was saying AC2 indicating it had a call for cooling but was not calling for blower. I proceeded to outdoor unit and found outdoor board status light was saying ON indicating it was idling without a call. Disconnected and reconnected communication plug. Cycled system in cooling multiple times and system did switch over to second stage without any issues.

Went over system performance, system is keeping up with temp 68 degrees in the house. I did noticed hit does have a return sensor that read return temp. Indoor unit cuts off at 67 degree air temperature. And fan would run continuously. I explain this to customer. Customer will try to run system from main thermostat and not use sensor. System is running within standards.

Performed precision a/c tune up on (2) a/c systems. (1) amana and (1) York a/c. Replaced 16x25x1 and Aprilaire 413 air filter homeowner provided. Checked all electrical connections and components. Tested capacitors. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Found compressor on York system pretty loud on start up plus system is leaking refrigerant, would recommend replacing 2nd floor system. A/c are working at time of service. He mentioned he will call in to schedule someone to come out to give a replacement quote when he is ready.

Performed precision a/c tune up on trane a/c system. Aprilaire 401 air filter is clean. Checked all electrical connections and components. Cleaned out ez trap. Checked temperature split.
