Luis 2-13-26 customer called in for no heat on first floor geothermal unit and attic air handler. Geothermal unit was locked out on sensor coil protection, I reset unit and test operation ok test back up heat ok. Compressor came on check refrigerant pressures, water pressure and temperature ok. Geothermal is working at the time of service, most likely had to do with water temp and flow, I would recommend converting system to closed loop for better performance, or convert systems to conventional heat pump, filter will need change for geo. For attic system check system operation test back up heat and regular heat pump the reason why the heat pump was not running was due to 100 amp panel tripped. After troubleshooting unit I noticed 100 amp panel might be over saturated when electric heat is on 40 amps for electric heat geo, 30 for other geo and 30 for electric heat air handler. They will need to upgrade panel. I check heat pump operation found compressor not running. Getting voltage bu
I Arrived to the customers home for a heat pump check up on a 4 yr old Goodman system . I checked all electrical connections and voltages . I checked the air filter and found good , filter size is 16x25x4 supplied by the customer . Inspected the indoor coil and tested electric heat package. Took temp splits for the electric heat and blower motor amperage draws. I looked at the outdoor heat pump and tested for an outdoor btu output. Inspected the outdoor components and unit pressures. Everything is working fine at this time of service, newer system. I did leave her an estimate for servicing her humidifier during the heat check ups for her to review.
On arrival I looked at three heat pump systems for a peco assessment . All three systems are about a 1 year old and are Lennox heat pumps. I inspected all air filters and system operations . First floor system looks fine indoor and outdoor. Second floor crawlspace system looks fine, the ductwork in crawlspace may have some air leakage and the outdoor looks fine. Third floor crawlspace system the secondary pan looks like the original pan . It has holes in it and is cracked so if they ever have a water leak it could create an issue with water damage. The duct work is in bad shape and should be redone, it has a lot of air leakage, and the air filter is not very easy to access. All three systems are running and producing heat. I did talk with the customer about the third floor system , I did make her aware that it could create water damage and you will lose efficiency with the air leaking duct work .
2/10/26 Dan I arrived to the customers home to replace a failed water tap that they use for their humidifier. I shut the water off to the house. I cut the pipe 3/4 copper pipe and drained the water line. I removed the failed tap and installed the new quarter turn tap for the humidifier. I turned the water back on and checked for leaks. I said the humidifier back to 35% for the customer collected remaining balance for payment paid by check.
I arrived to the customers home to service their 6 yr old daikin 95% gas furnace system. I started with checking the air filter and found good , the filter size is 20x25x4 the customer supplies the filters. I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I water tested all tubing and hoses. I inspected the exhaust and fresh air pipe for restrictions and bellies. I inspected the inducer and the blower motor operation. I checked and tested for combustion and took temp rise splits at the return and the supply. Everything is running fine at this time of service. I cleaned and serviced the humidifier Honeywell bypass type humidifier with a #35 water panel. This was the cause of the water leak that tripped to wet switch. And ran a new 1/2 tubing for the humidifier to the pump. I collected for $367.55 original price was 451.70 she had a coupon for free diagnostic, I got approval from the office for the coupon. Paid b
Luis 2-9-26 customer called in for a burning smell coming from the newer system we installed last week check system operation. Perform combustion test check room CO. I also perform combustion test on second floor heater and water heater. All systems are burning clean and combustion results are within safe range no issues found with the heater. No burning smell was found. I also did check gas piping connections. I did have to correct one of the connections due to leaks. Check piping after the repairs no more leaks are showing. Warranty, install recall.
Luis 2-7-26 customer called in for water leak, check operation upon arrival, heat is working, I noticed leak was coming from clogged 3/4 drain line. I provided estimate to cut pipe and add separate drain line for humidifier, I also recommended replacement of pump. I talked to Chris and he approved repairs. After repairs test system operation ok condensation pump ok. I wired ez trap safety switch to unit ok. Cycle heater couple times ok. No more leaks.

I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I water tested all tubing and hoses. I inspected the exhaust and fresh air pipe for restrictions and bellies. I inspected the inducer and the blower motor operation. I checked and tested for combustion and took temp rise splits at the return and the supply. Everything is running fine at this time newer system.
Performed quality assurance check on recently installed trane high efficiency gas furnace and a/c. Checked all electrical connections and components. Found humidifier wired directly to 24 v transformer and running all the time. Wired it correctly thru the humidifier terminals. Also found that the saddle valve was used on per. Cut out and installed shark bite style valve. Can’t get to outside unit to check due to snow and gate stuck shut. Gas furnace is working properly at qa.
