After-Hours Air Conditioning Repair Service

When you experience an electrical issue with your air conditioner, it can require emergency AC repairs. These can pose dangerous threats to your household, including electrical fires, and leave you without a working air conditioner. This is especially problematic if it’s hot out.

You need to call for emergency air conditioning services at your house. While waiting for the expert to arrive, there are some steps you can take on your own, including checking the circuit breaker to see if it tripped and if that’s what’s causing the problem.

When an AC contractor arrives, they will inspect the wiring and other electrical components to diagnose and repair the issue. DiBiase Heating and Cooling Company is available 24/7 for your convenience and peace of mind

What To Know About New Air Conditioners

When you schedule central air conditioning installations, your focus might be on the work being done to get the new unit up and running. However, it’s just as important to know what to expect with a newer, more modern model.

For one, newer units are larger than older systems. These can be 20-50% bigger in height, length, and width than older models. To fit the new system, technicians may need to relocate your new system or enlarge the spot.

Doing this might require you to move your ductwork or adjust it. It might also increase the timeline and budget of the installation. However, this is usually something you are made aware of before the day of the installation.

If you have questions or concerns about your AC installation, call DiBiase Heating and Cooling Company!

When to Call Experts for Ductless Mini Split AC System Repairs

When your ductless mini split AC system malfunctions, you might wonder if you need to schedule professional repairs or if you can handle the work on your own.

Depending on the issue, you can fix the problem yourself. Before calling an expert, you can check the air filter to see if it needs to be replaced, ensure the thermostat is set to “Cool,” and make sure a circuit breaker didn’t trip.

If these troubleshooting tips do not resolve the issue, you should schedule professional cooling repairs in Coatesville, PA.

Why a Broken Thermostat Is a Heating Emergency

With a fully functioning thermostat, your central heating system can work properly. If your thermostat malfunctions, you might consider this a minor problem. However, it requires emergency heating repairs.

While waiting for a heating contractor to arrive, there are steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. These can include first checking if the thermostat is correctly set to Heating. If it’s set to Cool, then you can switch it. This should correct the problem.

Next, you should check the device’s batteries. Make sure these are working. If not, then replace them. You should also ensure nothing is blocking the thermostat, preventing it from adequately reading the temperature in the room.

Signs Your Heating System Is Failing

It’s essential to schedule heater replacements at the first signs that your system is malfunctioning. It’s also important to recognize which symptoms imply repairs versus which ones can indicate you need to install a new system.

One of the most obvious signs is if your house is no longer heating to the desired temperature. While this could be an issue with your thermostat, it’s crucial to have a technician inspect your unit, as it can also indicate your system is failing.

Other symptoms to watch for include if your unit is making odd noises or if your utility bills are suddenly increasing. This can indicate your system is losing efficiency.

If you notice any of these problems, call our experts at DiBiase Heating and Cooling Company for heater repair services, inspections, and replacements. We provide the ultimate customer experience in Coatesville, PA, and beyond.

Importance of Scheduling Heat Pump Maintenance

It’s crucial to schedule annual maintenance services on your heat pump to keep it working correctly. These routine tune ups allow heating contractors to conduct a complete system inspection and look for defects that must be repaired.

Performing these services also helps improve the unit’s performance, making it more energy-efficient and prolonging the life expectancy of the system.

Home Energy Audits

A home energy audit is a detailed inspection that identifies areas where energy might be wasted in your home, such as through drafts, insulation gaps, or inefficient appliances. By targeting these problem areas, we can make recommendations to boost efficiency, reduce utility costs, and increase overall comfort.

Signs that your home might benefit from an energy audit include uneven temperatures, high energy bills, or noticeable drafts. Once the audit is complete, our team offers customized solutions—like air sealing and insulation improvements—to enhance your home’s energy performance.

Water Heater Repair and Replacement

Water heater repairs are typically needed when you notice leaks, unusual noises, or insufficient hot water; these issues can often be resolved to restore functionality. Replacement becomes a more cost-effective choice if your unit is over 10-15 years old, breaks down frequently, or no longer meets your household’s hot water needs.

We service both tank-style and tankless water heaters, offering expert repairs and replacements for each type. Upgrading to a new, energy-efficient water heater not only ensures reliable hot water but can also reduce your energy costs and provide improved performance.

Water Treatment Solutions

A whole-home water filtration system provides clean, filtered water from every tap by removing contaminants such as chlorine, sediment, and other impurities. Adding a water softener can further benefit your home by reducing water hardness, which helps prevent mineral buildup in plumbing and appliances while also improving water quality.

Common signs that water treatment may be needed include hard water spots, mineral deposits, or an unpleasant taste or odor. We offer comprehensive water treatment solutions, including whole-home filtration and softening systems, customized to fit your home’s specific needs.

Performed precision heat tune up on 2012 York mobile home downflow propane gas furnace. Wasable filter ok. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked resistance of hsi. Blew out pressure switch tubing. Checked gas pressure. Went up on roof and performed combustion test. Tested blower capacitor. Provided estimate to install ecobee thermostat with room sensor. Gas furnace is working properly at time of service.
Will install ecobee thermostat and assign room sensor for temperature

I arrived to the customers home to upgrade their thermostat to a ecobee premium with room sensor. I turned power off to the system and removed the older thermostat and began installation for the new one. I set the thermostat up for the customer and set the room sensor. I had her put in her Wi-Fi information and I tested thermostat operation in the fan mode, heating mode and off. Will need to check cooling when it’s warmer out. This can be done at her a/c check up. No charge for

I arrived to the customers home to look at his 6 yr old American standard heat pump system. I Checked and went through the whole heat pump system. I did find the indoor filter was dirty, I replaced it with a 20x25x1. I also found the outdoor heat pump had some sticks that got jammed up in the fan center of the outdoor Heat pump. This may have caused some issues. I ran the heat pump system by itself . I have good pressures and I had decent superheat subcool . I had talked to the customer and explained to him that everything looks good and I told him that the system is working fine at this time I collected for my diagnostics for today. Collected for $164.52 paid by cc.

I arrived to the customers home for no heat. I saw a bunch of debris in front of the unit and all the return ductwork. I did find that the flue pipe was impacted with a bunch of debris, quoted the customer for cleaning out the flue pipe, he approved the price for me cleaning up the pipe. Once I got the flu pipe back together at the cleaning it, I did a smoke test on the equipment and it passed. When I turned the system on to check combustion, it would fire up then I will see my gas pressure drop below five and then it will cut out. I went to the tank. Customer said he just got fuel the other day and the valve was off. I had to customer contact his Propane provider . I did talk to them and they had said they did come out and fill the tank, but I have no recollection of it being turned off. They give me the authority. I tested the indoor equipment system combustion but it’s very inefficient. I told the customer that this unit is running, but it has passed its life expectancy and should

I arrived for a recall on an 22 yr old Dayton oil furnace system. We were here the day before and put a new oil pump on the oil burner. Customer says the heat will run for a few hours, and then he has to reset the oil burner and then it will run for another few and lock out again. I had carbon build up on the electrodes and in the blast tube. This can happen if the oil is choked off Or not getting to the nozzle enough . I went through the system and made sure the transformer was good, system does have oil , and the pump after is moving oil . I removed my nozzle assembly and ran oil through it with it connected to my pump and pointed into a bucket. When the burner got a call for oil nothing came out. I even removed the strainer and added another still no oil through the nozzle. I cleaned out my assembly and ran out and purchased a new nozzle. Before putting the new nozzle in, I turned the furnace back on and tested the nozzle assembly without a nozzle in it and oil did flow through it

Fully assessed no heating situation. Found when I first walked in several of the 1st floor vents were blocked with magnetic covers. Explained to homeowner that this can create high limit issues on the furnace and can cause a lot of wear and tear on the heat exchanger. Went down in basement and found furnace running. Checked temperature rise it was 51 degree rise. Took off furnace cover and found burners are the o.e.m. Galvanized burners and are very rusted and corroded enough that it will cause inconsistent light offs. Recommend up grading to stainless steel burners. Performed combustion test.

Perform quality assurance. Remove vinyl tubing and ran to a safe location so the pipe would not be melted or kinked. I pitched the drain vent tube properly so it would not drip water out of it. I checked all the parameters to manufacture specification but not keeping temperature size or not enough baseboard.

Once again, top of the system is dirty with installation products staining the top.

Luis 1-19-26 customer called in for no heat from gas boiler. Try to rely pilot but no success upon arrival try to re-lit the pilot and test gas valve, found gas valve to be at fault. Provided estimate to replace gas valve, customer approved replacement of gas valve. After replacement of valve test operation and check connections for gas leaks ok no leaks. Performed combustion test cycle gas boiler ok. Water temp is set to 180F radiators will take some time to heat up. During today’s visit I noticed water heater venting is not properly vented. I had a new HVAC installed today by this company. The guys arrived at 8:00 a.m. I met Riley first, and the other two fellows shortly after. They were very professional, started working immediately. After installation, Riley explained how everything worked and if I had any questions, to call the office. Overall experience was excellent.

Barry came and serviced my oil furnace today, 11/24, in my workshop. Was leaking oil and some other issues. Barry fixed the problems, serviced the unit and got me back up and running, right before the cold snap. Can't recommend these guys enough. Riley and team installed a mini split today. Top of the food chain work from DiBiase, as usual. Have used DiBiase Heating and Cooling a few times now. For my latest appointment, I got some recommendations and a quote for some HVAC work for my recently gutted basement. Joe was transparent and gave some great insight and options. Highly recommend their service.
