Job Locations and Reviews
Fully assessed heating situation. Found no error codes on thermostat. Went into settings and did change a few settings. Indoor coil temperature was set to 32 degrees, changed to 35 degrees for cooling. In the thermostat it was also set to read from a conditioned space from white control box at air handler turned off this is in an unconditioned space. Also found thermostat was reading a little high due to the heat the screen generates. Off set thermostat by 2 degrees, showed homeowner how to change this. Found no error codes at top of thermostat. Service required always comes up when you reboot the thermostat on these communication systems. Checked temperature rise it was 25 degrees. Heat pump is working properly at time of service.
Barry Peirson was our excellent technician today. He added a feature to our existing gas furnace and heat pump AC unit, replaced our thermostat, and provided a quality review of our gas furnace/heat pump that was installed last month. He worked diligently, is very skillful, and is an excellent communicator! Barry is an outstanding representative of DiBiase and his quintessential professionalism convinced us that we made a very good choice when we decided to purchase our new furnace from DiBiase!
Installed EIM and Honeywell ElitePro S1200 Thermostat Configured for Heat Pump with 2 stages high efficiency gas heat back up. Wired outdoor unit for heat pump. Set Aux heat lockout to 55°F and Balance point to 50°F Help them set schedule. Added spray foam to fill gap at Lineset penetration. Covered exhaust and intake with permeable screen provided by homeowners. Inspected all aspects of install: Mechanical, wiring, ductwork connections, control settings. Blower motor and outdoor equipment surge protectors installed Tested system in both heat pump and gas furnace operations. Combustion and draft tests: Pass At the end of my time I noticed the LED status lights for APCOX was out but the bulb is still good. We have had a few incidents with this LED status light malfunctioning. Unit still working as designed. Install passes QA inspection.
Fully assessed tankless water heater leaking situation. Found after tankless water heater heats up there is a small leak dripping from the heat exchanger. Tankless water heater is 13 years old. Recommend to homeowner to replace Navien with Rheem ikonic tankless water heater. Provided estimate to install new tankless water heater. Homeowner said he will probably wait at this time. Explained to him that there is a chance it gets worse and leaks water all over the floor. Or burns up control board. Water heater is heating at this time.
Removed existing gas shut off valve and adapter. Installed new shut off valve and flex adapter provided by homeowner. Checked gas line for leaks and lite up stove and oven to test. Explained to homeowner that there is a new smell it burns off when you first use the oven. No leaks. Stove is working at time of service. Also sent over membership info.
Remove leaking outdoor unit and replaced with new train two stage heat pump outdoor. Made all necessary connections pressure tested evacuated and charged to standards. System is running to manufacture specifications at this time. Get a couple signatures. What’s up? I’m on my way back to the shop. You hurt my brain right now.
I arrived for a no heat . Customer had told me he can hear the heat pump turn on run for a few minutes and then stops. I set his thermostat to emergency heat to check the oil furnace oil. Furnace will start up as well. Run for a minute and then shut off. I found that my blower motor is seized has bad bearings and is causing the issue with the heat pump and the oil furnace to run correctly. Customer is scheduled. I believe on the 16th of next month for a oil check up. The office is leaving the schedule open so one of the techs can get over here to install the new blower motor. Motor under manufacturing warranty customer did pay for the labor warranty and for diagnostics.
I arrived to the customers home to work on their oil fired boiler , It’s 28 years old. I started with inspecting for water leaks, and checked all the copper line joints. I checked the temperature pressure gauge. I checked connections and voltages on the boiler and inspected the aqua stat and circulators. I inspected the heat exchanger and cleaned and inspected the flue pipe for corrosion and holes. I made sure the chimney was clear. I replaced the oil filter, the strainer and nozzle . I cleaned and set the electrodes for proper gapping for proper system operation. I bled the oil burner and tested for combustion and checked the return and supply pipes . Everything is working fine with oil fired boiler at this time of service. Collected for $299.00 renewal for the oil fired boiler, paid by check# 194
Fully assessed no hot water situation. Found everything turned off when I arrived. Inspected burner assembly it looked ok. Stated up water heater and everything fired up. Water heater ran for about 15 minutes and shut off. This style water heater the entire gas control goes bad. It would cost around $1500.00 to try to repair just because entire tank would need drained. Not worth it at all on a 2008 water heater. Found gas valve not opening. Explained to homeowner that the only real option at this point is to replace the water heater. Provided estimate for new 75 gallon power vented water heater. Homeowner said he will give us a call. Water heater is not going to stay working at this time.
Luis 12-22-25 customer called for heat pump not working properly. Thermostat for the heat pump in the off position set it to heat and test system operation. I noticed outside heat pump It went off after a few minutes of running after checking troubleshooting the unit found thermostat dropping Y call. I replaced thermostat ecobee lite with Honeywell t6 smart thermostat. Customer will set up WiFi and internet connection to their phone. Cycle heat pump operation ok. Test defrost ok. Customer also mentioned oil boiler not working, found boiler running upon arrival, I did not touch boiler during today’s visit. Was running during entire troubleshooting call for heat pump. No charge for today visit. Warranty recall
5 PECO trucks were in the cul de sac of street when I arrived. One of the foremen told me the whole development took a 34KV hit. The meter to the house was replaced when I arrived by PECO. He showed us the fried meter smelled very burned. Showed us that the bypass was fried shut. Found X13 Blower motor fried and the AG3000 surge protector at outdoor equipment fried as well. A piece of the cover of the AG3000 was blown completely off and laying 8 feet away. I replaced both surge protectors and tested system. No error codes on either board and system ran as designed. Tested both the heat pump and the propane furnace. Offered Additional surge protector for main 120V Furnace circuit, he agreed. Completed work today. Homeowner paid for invoice. System operating well at this time. *Also told him the plug in dehumidifier is fried. Running the fan on. No display and cannot be turned off except by unplugging from receptacle
System stalled July 15 2025 through American Home Shield. Earlier this week he noticed system not heating. He first called Harris who said emergency heat will not work and that the heat pump is going off on high head pressure. When I arrived I found the thermostat W conductor landed on W2 terminal and the outdoor defrost W landed on W1. So that when he made demand for emergency heat, it would not energize. I landed both W conductors on the W1 terminal. Now 5KW heat kit is energized. 22A 19° temp rise (63-82) Good Afterwards I put refrigerant probes on heat pump service ports and started heat pump. R32 Pressures were very good 73/288; outdoor temperature 24° I also uploaded photo of chart of high side and low side pressures. They were not chaotic and at no point did they exceed the high pressure point as noticed by tech from another company. Temperature rise with HP and AUX 64-104 =40° I chalk the fact the he didn’t have heat up to the low voltage wiring issue between thermostat
Need the repair and slipped the outlet and shut off switch to the opposite sides so the plug was not touching the gas line. Check the other system and the function which is in perfect condition and it was a beautiful install no issues found
Luis 12-19-25 Arrived to customer location for a noise short cycling from indoor air handler. Could not locate where clicking was coming from. Customer has a booster fan system that gets energized every time blower comes on. Noise could’ve been coming from that relay. Customer had fan set to circulate 15min every hour. Customer was not aware the fan was set to circulate. Customer does not want that setting. I went through the rest of the system and did not find any issues. Customer will call us back if she experiences the issue again.
Outdoor unit has a leak at the compressor connection coming off the discharge line. We need to follow up on whether we’re gonna repair or replace. Please talk to Joe. The customer is on auxiliary heat.we need to follow up with them as soon as possible to let them know what the next step will be
Luis 12-18-25 customer called in for heat not working after we installed erv check system operation heater was showing error code high limit. Check system operation reset unit and found heater running at high supply temp. Found all registers on first closed. And couple on basement also closed. Open up all registers, check air flow after adjustments ok. System was running better after adjustment on air flow.
*Removed old ERV and disposed *Mounted and installed new Honeywell ERV 150CFM model *Completed ducting connections. *Made all electrical connections *Tested operation
Luis 12-17-25 customer called in for no heat, found unit tripped on pressure switch error. Unit cycling on and off on pressure switch. Found furnace drain trap not draining correctly, correction will be replacing drain kit. I also discover control module relays clicking all the time. Cycle heater couple times and unit kept doing clicking. Heater is from 2010 I would recommend replacing system. I did emailed estimate for repairs. Under repairs estimate I also included replacement of pump and run new vinyl tubing into sump pump currently goes outside and is freezing. Office to follow up with customer regards consultation.
Found customer had attempted to install new google nest. Found 3 amp fuse blown in the basement. Explained to homeowner to install the new thermostat we will need to pool an 18/8 wire up the wall to replace 4 wire. Customer agreed. Had to drill out bottom of wall opening to make it larger with spade bit and used fish sticks to run new thermostat wire. Eliminated relay panel in basement and wired it straight through. Set up thermostat with customer and tested gas furnace heat operation. Will need to come back at a different visit to complete tune up. Gas furnace is working properly at time of service.
Performed quality assurance checked dip switch settings, programming, wiring, operation of system, and overall install quality. System is running to manufacture specifications.
Luis 12-16-25 performed gas heat tune up on two systems attic and basement. Attic trane unit and Goodman basement unit. Check all electrical connections and components. Replacement of filter for attic 20x20x1 and basement 16x25x1. Customer supplied 12x12x1. I would recommend goin on our website and order those filters. Service plan cover one standard filter per unit. Check all electrical connections and components ok. Check combustion removal air delivery and ignition system. Attic unit checks ok. On basement unit I found issues with unit. Heat exchanger is starting to fail, combustion results shows internal issues. All ignition parts are showing wear. Control module has some yellow areas on solder connections, I provided estimate for recommendations. Customer is aware unit condition.
Humidistat is installed on the blower compartment. Sensor is just to the right of the flex duct. Humidistat is Reading 52% RH. My humidity probe is reading 32% in the blower compartment I tried making the hole for sensor a tad bit bigger and reinstalling, but humidity reading is still high. We will come back with replacement humidistat. They are going away soon. Will have to be scheduled for after Christmas holiday. In the meantime I mounted humidistat in the mechanical room and wired. The mechanical room is on same floor as rooms they are trying to humidify. Humidifier working ok with humidistat mounted in mechanical room for now. Set to 5 Told him to keep an eye on the ductwork in the attic as we had water in ducts before. Informed our warehouse to order part.
Luis 12-16-25 Replacement of gas valve with new gaskets, new Venturi. Check system operation after repairs cycle boiler couple times ok. Performed combustion test ok. Boiler is working properly at time of service.
Oil boiler: found oil boiler locked out on hard lockout. Customer ran out of oil and went out and got 10 gallons of diesel fuel. Had air in the line had to bleed oil line to get burner going again. Also explained to homeowner that they need to get more fuel in the tank they are not getting a delivery until Friday. Also there is a chance the the oil filter and nozzle will get all junked up from pulling from the bottom of the tank. Performed combustion test. Bosch heat pump installed this summer: went upstairs to ecobee and turned on system. Everything came on but outside unit was shaking due to ice on fan blade got hot water and melted away ice and checked 454b pressure readings on control board. Air filter needs changed is very dirty and could cause a lock out. Heat pump is working at time of service. No problem with heat pump system.

Dillon M. was on time and knowledgeable. He provided multiple options for different brands at various price points. Importantly, he was able to educate me on system options including pros and cons. Luke T and installation team were on time, knowledgeable, and courteous. They worked throughout the day and had old equipment picked up and disposed. New A/C Furnace syste looks and works great. All connections lines were replaced and a new concrete pad was installed outside. The house was left clean. Luke walked me through each aspect of the installation and oriented me to the new system. I am very happy I chose DiBiase Heating and Cooling. Competitive price and prompt service. As part of DiBiase installation protocol, Tan came to the house 1 week after installation to complete a full review of all systems and to help me develop strategies for effective cooling throughout the house. He spent considerable time testing and optimizing the unit, discussed operation of the unit and provided education related warranties, proper filters, and mechanical functions. Nathan was on time and demonstrating a lot of experience. I asked to have the drain line rerouted in the basement, and despite challenges in th e ceiling area, he handled it well. Everything was tied down tightly. He walked me through all parts of his work to ensure I was satisfied.
