I arrived to the customers home to look at a noise on the outdoor unit. He said it gets too loud when it’s cold out I had told the customer it’s going to do that because it’s gonna ramp up and down due to outdoor temperatures. it’ll run at lower hertz and won’t be as noisy on less of a load day. There is no way to adjust the outdoor unit for noise due to the compressor, the way a modulates with the fan and the outdoor temperature sensors. He also was having a noise issue with his zoning and his family room for one of the vents. The zone is zoned 2 . I mentioned to the customer that this run out comes right off the top of the plenum above the coil so it’s moving more air then any other run out for that zone. I gave the customer two options option one is to remove or cap off that run out. He has two other run outs for the family room or we off that plan and flex to run out and extended down further on the trunk branch, I gave him two option prices for him to review. He would like to s

I arrived for a second opinion for a heat pump not working correctly. When talking with Tim he was telling me that he had several techs out for the system not working from the start. He had multiple issues with the install from day 1 . When I was looking at the outdoor heat pump and trying to check the charge I could smell the acids from the unit . The system is definitely at risk for compressor fail or and other refrigerant components. The customer has an estimate scheduled this evening with Tony around 5 o’clock. I collected for my $99 diagnostics paid by credit card

As part of DiBiase installation protocol, Tan came to the house 1 week after installation to complete a full review of all systems and to help me develop strategies for effective cooling throughout the house. He spent considerable time testing and optimizing the unit, discussed operation of the unit and provided education related warranties, proper filters, and mechanical functions. Nathan was on time and demonstrating a lot of experience. I asked to have the drain line rerouted in the basement, and despite challenges in th e ceiling area, he handled it well.
