I arrived for no heat. Indoor auxiliary heat is working, but customer says outdoor heat pump is not running. I went to the outdoor unit put my gauges on found voided charge. I added a trace of gas and could see the outdoor unit my lead bulb for the TX was embedded in the outdoor coil, use my electronic leak detector bubbles and leak at that point on the coil. I took a video management will get back to the customer for labor pricing for the outdoor coil. Collected for my diagnostic for today’s service.
1/15/26 Dan I arrived to the customers home to service their 8 yr old 95% Amana gas furnace system. I started with checking the air filter and found good , the filter size is 20x25x4 , customer supplied. I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I water tested all tubing and hoses. I inspected the exhaust and fresh air pipe for restrictions and bellies. I inspected the inducer and the blower motor operation. I checked and tested for combustion and took temp rise splits at the return and the supply. Everything is running fine at this time of service. Collected for service agreement renewal for $189.00 I put an estimate together for the customer to review , replacing his (6) burner tubes (stainless) .
Arrived to the customers home for 2 heat pump check ups on two 4 yr old heat pump systems. I checked all electrical connections and voltages . I checked the air filters and replaced both , filter sizes are 20x20x1 and 16x20x1 . Inspected the indoor coil and tested electric heat packages on both systems. Took temp splits for the electric heat and amperage draws. I looked at the outdoor heat pumps and tested for an outdoor btu outputs. Inspected the outdoor components and unit pressures on both systems. Both systems are in good working order. Newer systems . Collected for one time fees for $89.00 per system total due is $178.00, paid by cc.
Completed heat tune up York oil furnace from early 90s. Heat pump is Carrier from 2018 and it was originally configured at controls n such a way that the oil furnace had heat pump would run at the same time but she had a contractor install new thermostat and configured so oil furnace is locked out 35°F outdoor temperature and above and that the heat pump and oil furnace do not run together. 20x25x6 filter ok Cleaned heat exchanger (cast iron drum style) and inspected flue piping and chimney. Replaced oil filter, strainer is clean, replaced .75 70°A nozzle. Inspected electrode condition and alignment, transformer, cad cell eye, and air bands for debris. Cad cell eye very discolored. She agreed to replace today. Electrodes are the older style rounded face. Recommend replacing. Provided email estimate. I did not have the electrodes to offer to replace today, Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components including fan speeds. Bled oil line and tested system Measured temp

I Arrived to the customers home for a heat pump check up on a yr 5 old Trane system . I checked all electrical connections and voltages . I checked the air filter and replaced, filter size is an 401 filter april aire. I Inspected the indoor coil for leaks and the outdoor . We had put dye in earlier November. I didn’t see anything on the outdoor but definitely on the indoor coil. I inspected and tested electric heat package. Took temp splits for the electric heat and blower motor amperage draws. I looked at the outdoor heat pump and tested for an outdoor btu output. Inspected the outdoor components and unit pressures. Everything is working , but the indoor coil will need to be addressed. The system is 5 yrs old .

I checked all my electrical connections and voltages. I inspected and tested the burners , flame sensor and the igniter. I water tested all tubing and hoses. I inspected the exhaust and fresh air pipe for restrictions and bellies. I inspected the inducer and the blower motor operation. I checked and tested for combustion and took temp rise splits at the return and the supply. Everything is running fine at this time of service. I did replace the customers 5 mfd blower motor capacitor that I recommended in may 2024. Collected 260.03 paid by cc.
Luis 1-5-26 Perform heat pump tuneup, check electrical low and high voltage connections and components customer just replace air filter inspect air handler drain trap. Check supply and return air temperatures 20° split temperature rise. Outdoor Temp 34 degrees. Check outdoor unit refrigerant levels test defrost. Ok. Cycle heat pump ok.

I looked at the outdoor heat pump and tested for an outdoor btu output. Inspected the outdoor components and unit pressures. Everything is working fine at this time of service. Also looked at the customers oil furnace , they have an oil smell . I found no oil leak or smell either around the unit or in the cabinet. Did find ports and flue pipe was impacted by soot. I got it cleared out and cleaned out. I checked the combustion and found ok . I did recommend a chimney cleaning to be sure it’s not impacted. If chimney is ok I recommend oil furnace replacement. No charge from recent tune up.

Fully assessed overheating situation. There is a total of 8 zones in the home. Found that the kitchen zone that is connected to this geo was accidentally left in fan on position. Turned back to auto and air stopped blowing in office area. While on site customer wanted to replace weak capacitor for geothermal unit in the basement replaced and tested operation. Geothermal is working properly at time of service.

A most professional and knowledgeable technician, Tan (or Lon as he wished to be called), arrived punctually at our home, and without any delay set about his task in a most organized manner. I accompanied him and asked him several questions which he answered me without showing any impatience or annoyance. He was thorough and demonstrated a skill and ease which comes when one is well versed in knowing the set of tasks which one needs to perform. He listened to my concerns and knew exactly what needed to be checked and modified ( a small amount of freon to bring the our heat pump to the specs of the manufacturer. He is an asset to the DiBiase enterprise. Kudos to all!

Mr Ruggierello was a very knowledgeable, curteous and professional technician, but my problem was very complicated and Dan could not do more than diagnose my problem as it required a licensed electrician to make an additional repair.
