Replace failed blower motor Luis 7-29-26 After replacement of oem blower test system operation cycle ac unit ok, system is back in working order.
Completed AC tune up for 3 Ton Trane heat pump system. Equipment dates to 2014, 12 years old. Replaced Aprilair 501 filter Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components; left estimates for surge protectors Measured temperature split and static pressure Inspected drains; cleared trap and cleanout. tested pump; Recommend wet switch: safety switch that will shut equipment down if water is detected on floors around indoor equipment. Checked integrity of compressor motor (mega ohm test) REME air cleaner cell is due for replacement. Provided estimate to replace REME cell. Assessed refrigerant charge checked pressures. 7° SC Good AC system operating well at this time, however system is beyond expected lifespan of forced air HVAC system. Repairs to major components are more likely to occur and are more expensive at this age. In-home consultations where quotes for new systems are provided are free fro Dibiase.
7/27/26. Fully assessed blower motor on 24 year old carrier oil furnace. Gave system a call for cooling. Found blower motor tight and humming loudly. Found 15 mfd capacitor tested good, failed blower motor. Called one distributor and found it, it’s about 2-3 days out. Homeowner wants our warehouse to call around to see if anything can be found faster. Sent over price estimate.
Luis 7-27-26 Customer called in for no cooling Amana 3 ton system from 2016 not cooling. Found no power to outside unit, reset breaker and breaker tripped. Check wiring and electrical components, found start capacitor broken in pieces, check wiring to compressor, compressor harness melted. Check windings resistance found start winding shorted to ground. I also check indoor coil for any leak. Found small signs of dye inside evaporator coil. I provided estimate for repairs. Unit has 10 year parts warranty, customer responsible for material and refrigerant. • No obligation quote to replace system • A Comfort Specialist will provide several options to suit your comfort needs and budget • New equipment can offer better reliability, greater efficiency and improved comfort • Higher efficiency models run quieter and cost less to operate • Gain peace of mind with manufacturer and service provider warranties

Estimate
Barry was extremely thorough and took the time to explain what he was doing and how to properly care for the units.
Luis 6-24-26 Performed ac tune up on 2.5 ton carrier unit from 2003. Check operation from indoor and outdoor units. Replacement of customer supplied filter. Check drain inspect air delivery system and electrical connections and components. Check airflow supply and return. Check outdoor units electrical system and refrigerant cycle. System is very old. Most of the components are reading below standards indicating unit will most likely breakdown soon, indoor coils is fully corroded potential for leaks. Blower motor cap reading below standard, outdoor electrical system is reading below minimum levels. Fan motor makes noise from windings every time it starts and stops. Capacitor and contactor readings below normal. Some of the outdoor coil fins are damaged restricting airflow, crating high pressure and making compressor run at hotter temperatures. I provided estimate to replace all those parts (except refrigerant parts no longer available). These repairs would restore immediate functional
Luis 7-23-26 Customer called in for no cooling. Carrier outdoor ac unit from 2006. Indoor coil was replaced in 2016. Indoor unit runs, oil heater high boy. Test system operation outdoor unit two stage Copeland compressor. Unit would start but no pumping, after seconds compressor goes into high thermostat overload. Check compressor valves operation, compressor valves are damage and can’t pump refrigerant. New compressor is needed. This type of compressor is very hard to find now days. Total cost for compressor is over 7 thousand dollars. My final recommendation is to get an estimate to replace system. Home comfort consultant to come out tomorrow morning at 9 am.
Luis7-20-26 Customer called into the office for no cooling call air conditioning, broken according to the customer. Customer turn off both thermostats first floor and second floor turn thermostat back to cooling and check system operation I proposed to perform tune up on system since ac has not been checked this year, (tune up coils fix issue) customer approved tuneup. Check indoor coils blower electrical components air filter found clogged drain clear drain using water test system operation check outdoor unit coils, electrical refrigerant levels, and pressures. Outdoor coils will need to be cleaned need long garden hose. Cycle ac unit ok discussed equipment, lifecycle, and a standard mechanical depreciation with the customer. The customer was advised that despite quality manufacturing AC systems operate under high-stress conditions, making eventual component fatigue and operational ware and inevitable. I would recommend getting hvac serviced every season to keep unit running at high
Homeowner explained that yesterday the second floor thermostat went up 1° from set point. I also asked him if the system struggled on any of the 100°+ outdoor temperature days in recent weeks. He said no. The (2) second floor bedroom grilles where they mentioned there was no air flow are returns. Each of those bedrooms has (1) supply and (1) return (floor registers) I enabled 2 stages of cooling speeds using Zone panel and thermostats, AC1 fan speed 1050 CFM AC2 fan speed 1400 CFM. Second floor thermostat is set to upstage to AC2 as “Comfort” 1st floor thermostat is set to upstage to AC2 on a 3° differential. Tested and verified operation of zone dampers. All damper are working as designed including the 1 that has not yet been replaced. I showed him zoning panel and and told him to keep an eye on the 1st Floor damper when there is a call for 2nd floor only and make sure it is closing. (Red LED means closed) System operating well at this time,
Techs were professional, and diagnosed/fixed issue quickly.
7/17/26. Fully assessed no cooling situation on recently installed Mitsubishi (2) head mini split system. Found ice outside and outside unit. Gave upstairs unit a call for cooling and found it not cooling. Found that the refrigerant was flowing to the downstairs head. Switched all wiring between B&C wiring. Also adjusted voltage settings in power monitoring disconnect. Tested each head individually and checked temperature splits, they were both around 19 degrees. Checked 454b pressures for both heads. Found eev head was hanging up , tapped on head with crescent wrench and suction pressure went from 60 to 98 pipe un thawad in front of me. Water test ed both systems.Mini split heat pump is working properly at time of service.
