Reviewed equipment info. Need price for furnace only, furnace and ac options, and ductwork to basement and ductless option.
Fully assessed noisy furnace situation. Found that the 2 speed trane inducer motor bearings are going out. Inducer motor is still working at this point but motor is going bad. Called distributor for pricing and availability, provided repair estimate. Also set up appointment for Joe to give a replacement estimate. Furnace is working at time of service just don’t know how long.

Completed PECO heat pump tune up for 3 Ton Goodman heat pump system with 10KW auxiliary heat. Dates to 2015 Replaced 20x20x1 filter Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition; there is biological growth on a few sections of drain pan. Provided email estimate for UV light Inspected wiring, controls, electric C, . motors and components; left estimates for surge protectors. Outdoor Capacitor 45/4 is very weak. Reading 24 on the compressor side. Provided estimate and offered to replace today. Electric heat amps 42A Good Measured temperature split and static pressure Inspected drains; there is no overfill protection switch for AC drain and trap cannot be cleaned out. Left estimate for EZ trap. Pump not in great condition. Recommend replacing condensate pump and vinyl tubing. Provided estimate for new pump and vinyl discharge tubing along with EZ trap. Checked integrity of compressor motor (mega ohm test) Assessed refrigerant charge checked pressures. 299/88 Good Heat system ope

Left (2) estimates for indoor air quality devices (Chose 1 or the other) 1. UV light installed directly above indoor coil where biological growth occurs. Or 2. Abov-coil UV light PLUS APCOX. APCOx with ever-carbon technology that controls odors, and VOCs. Heat pump system operating well at this time.
Completed heat tune up for natural gas furnace. Replaced 24x24x1 filter; the 14x14x1 filter on 3rd floor needs to be replaced soon. I did not have one on the truck. Inspected heat exchanger, burners, flue pipe, inducer assembly and hoses Inspected hot surface ignitor and verified resistance with meter Cleaned flame sensor and verified flame rectification circuit Measured temperature rise and static pressure Checked wiring, controls, electric motors and components; Checked manifold gas pressures Inspected drain Combustion, draft and smoke tests: Pass Gas furnace is operating well at this time.

Installed today, Measured temperature rise and static pressure Inspected drains; tested pump; added treatment tabs to pump Verified defrost cycle Assessed refrigerant charge checked pressures. Heat pump system operating well at this time.

Combustion, draft and smoke tests: Pass Completed humidifier maintenance: replaced Aprilaire 35 water panel, cleaned housing, made sure water feed valve was set for correct water flow, opened bypass damper. Tested humidistat and set target to 35%RH Gas furnace is operating well at this time. Homeowner paid for invoice today.

12/10/25 Barry Found leaking secondary cover plate Daikin single stage natural gas funace, The water from the leak makes it way through that compartment and then into blower compartment and ultimately the floor via the screw holes from screws that are anchoring the blower motor housing. Offered to disassemble and remove cover plate, caulk with high temp caulk then reinstall. Homeowner agreed. At the same time, in same conversation I offered and explained plan membership. Homeowner agreed, . Completed work as described above then ran furnace for 20 min or so. I believe caulking cover plate worked. No water in compartment after run time. Also checked gas pressure and performed combustion test: Pass System operating well at this time. Homeowner paid for balance today.
Very competent and knowledgeable!
There is no auxiliary electric heater in air handler. So when heat pump goes into defrost the result is very cold air in supply ducts. Auxiliary heat is oil boiler with 3 zones. 3 separate thermostats control boiler. There is no isolation relay from heat pump/air handler thermostat I also explained that generally when operating in heat mode the air may “feel” cold at 87-90° because even though it is hot enough to heat the house it is cooler than body temperature. Completed heat tune up for 3.5 Ton Amana heat pump system 20x22x1 filter ok Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components; equipment does not have surge protection Measured temperature rise (67-95=28°) and static pressure Inspected drain. Drain does not have overfill protection; left estimate for EZ trap. Checked integrity of compressor motor (mega ohm test) Observed 1 complete defrost cycle.
