Luis 5-27-26 Performed ac tune up on high velocity system from 2025. Check indoor unit electrical connections and components. Flush drain test pump and water safeties ok. Check coils and blower ok check outdoor unit electrical connections and refrigerant levels ok. Cycle ac unit ok. System is working properly at the time of service, filter grill was not closing properly, I used cable tie to make good connection so grill doesn’t move. New filter was also installed.

5/22/26. Fully assessed no cooling situation on 2016 Rudd heat pump system. Gave system a call at the thermostat and air handler came on went up on the rooftop and found outside heat pump locked out on low pressure lock out. Looked inside the heat pump and found copper suction line completely broke clean off at the reversing valve. This could be an issue with the compressor that broke off the joint. Highly recommend replacing entire system. Provided estimate to repair but could definitely be further issues.

After getting system running found pressures slightly low. 410a refrigerant pressures were 243/91. Added 14 ozs of r410a provided by Atwater. Now pressures are 262/103 with 12 subcooling. Performed mega ohm test on the compressor, Test operation checked refrigerant charge, temperature differential across coil. air conditioner is old, compressor makes noise while running. System currently operational but at end of normal life expectancy. Due to age and likelihood of issues moving forward, replacement of system is recommended.

Went up on rooftop and found compressor making a lot of noise ,recorded video. 410a refrigerant pressures were 299/127 with no subcooling and 4.5 superheat. Tested operation of revising valve. Energized and de energized. Also checked temperatures thru the reversing valve. Temperature only changed very slightly. Would recommend replacing compressor and indoor txv due to compressor more than likely failed due to pumping against a bad valve. Provided estimate to repair but due to the risk would recommend replacing entire system. Our office to provide estimate.
