Luis 1-3-26 customer called into the office for no heat again blank thermostat upon arrival found blown fuse. Check wiring care handler outside unit found short on a high-pressure wire inside the heat pump. Repair wiring and test system operation cycle heat pump pump. I did not replace wiring, (would be very difficult to replace wiring). No heed replace wiring at this time. I adjusted billing for today’s repair.
Fully assessed no heating situation. Found heat pump locked out on e5 error code. Found this to be a high/ low voltage protection error. Checked incoming voltage to system it was 242. Checked 410a pressures on digital board it was 268/87. This error is to protect the heat pump from damage. If outside unit would lock out on this code again breakers would need reset. Swapped out air filter with one homeowner provided. Heat pump is working properly at time of service.
Found igniter white and brittle and flame sensor starting to pit. 12/31/25 installed new o.e.m. Hsi and flame sensor. Cycled system several times. Gas furnace is working properly at time of service.
Completed heat tune up for 3 Ton Luxaire AC system with 15KW electric heat kit. Replaced 20x22x1 filter Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components; left estimates for surge protectors. *AIR HANDLER is improperly wired. (2) sets of 6/2 are wired nutted and pig tailed together to one 90A breaker; there is also a set of 10/2 pig tailed to the same point. I cannot identify what appliance that 10/2 is fee g. It is outdoor wire so could be outdoor lights? The (2) sets of 6/2 wire need to be installed at separate breakers. Need to replace 90A with 60A double pole and install one set of 6/2 there and install new 30A double pole breaker immediately underneath and install the other set of 6/2 wire there. Then the single point entry kit needs to be taken out and each set of wire feed the separate breaker at air handler. For now I took out the W2 conductor at low voltage terminal block so only one bank of electric heat ever energizes
Completed heat tune up for natural gas furnace. Replaced washable filter with 16x25x1 pleated disposable filter. Inspected heat exchanger, burners, flue pipe, inducer assembly and hoses Inspected spark ignitor Cleaned flame sensor and verified flame rectification circuit Measured temperature rise and static pressure Checked wiring, controls, electric motors and components; there are no surge protectors; left estimate for a surge protector. She agreed. I installed surge protector today, Checked manifold gas pressure Inspected drain and EZ trap. Combustion, draft and smoke tests: Pass Package Gas/AC is operating well at this time. She paid for plan renewal and surge protector today.
Luis 12-18-25 customer has geothermal unit one for the first floor and second for second floor. Customer having issues with first floor. Breaker keep tripping. Troubleshooting system and found compressor shorted ground. Used mega ohm ester and showing red. I disconnected compressor plug and test circuit, circuit stayed on all time. Unit is a jut 12 years old. I provided estimate for repairs. I would recommend getting an estimate to replace system. I told customer they can use electric back up it will cost more to run and might not be sufficient to supply first floor but at least will be some heat. Customer set thermostat to back up/emergency heat for now. Office to follow up the customer tomorrow morning.
Arrived for no display on the thermostat. Found the fuse was blown at the air handler. I checked the contactor outside and found ok 16.0 ohms. Found a short in the (yellow outdoor wire for the heat pump side. At this time I replaced the wire with a spare (black ) wire . The system is working at this time , but recommend running new outdoor 10 wire thermostat wire . 23’ of thermostat wire quoted $491.72 Collected for 228.33 for today’s service.
Luis 12-9-25 perform heat pump inspection on a Bosch unit check all electrical connections and components low and high voltage ok. inspect 413 air filter. OK at this time customer had me replaced humidifier pad #10 customer supplied. Test 15 kw back up heat. Check supply and return air temperatures 28° split on regular heat mode went outside and check all electrical through the control module. Refrigerant levels and pressures ok. Cycle heat pump ok during today’s visit. I did inform customer about water heater being 12 years old. He will wait on replacing water heater until it starts to leak.
Performed precision heat tune up on Bosch and trane gas furnaces. Both media filters are ok. Checked all electrical connections and components. Found igniter and flame sensor for trane furnace should be replaced, provided estimate to repair. Checked temperature rise. Cleaned flame sensors. Found no surge protection installed on indoor Bosch equipment, provided estimate. Found condensation not always draining correctly on Bosch gas furnace, let homeowner know this. Checked resistance of hot surface igniters. Performed combustion test. Both gas furnaces are working properly at time of service.

Found some bacterial growth inside unit, provided uv air purifier solutions. Checked temperature rise. Checked gas pressure. Cleaned flame sensor, performed combustion test. Gas furnace is getting to the point of replacement but is working at time of service.
On time, polite, friendly, helpful, would carefully explain any questions about my system, neat and clean. I really like this technician.

We had service tech Kurt arrive for our yearly AC system check up. Kurt was on time, friendly and had a deep knowledge of HVAC systems. He ran a complete battery of tests on our old system, while never getting bothered by the homeowner standing there, asking questions. We are very happy with the level of service and care Kurt provided. Ask for him...you will be impressed! 10/2025, Fall heater service. Kurt returned, this time to check and prepare out heating system for the coming winter. I requested Kurt because I thought he would be just as thorough and knowledgeable with out heating as he had been with out AC....and he was. Everything I said above still applies. After completing the service call, I received an email with docs & photos of all the tests and their results. DiBiase has been reasonable with their pricing, delivered on their service, and honesty....no pressure or up-selling for work thats not needed. Thanks DiBiase!
