Checked the AC side of the system , it’s 6 yrs old . Checked the air filter and replaced. Checked the wiring connections and the voltages on high volt and low volt. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the drain line. Checked the blower motor condition and inspected the blower amps . Went to the outdoor unit and inspected the wiring connections and the components . Checked and tested the pressures by using superheat and sub cooling methods. Checked the amps for the compressor and the fan motor and checked the indoor cooling temps at the supply and return. The AC system is working fine at this time of service.

Flushed drain with 1/2 gallon water. Checked integrity of compressor motor (mega ohm test) Assessed refrigerant charge checked pressures. AC system operating well at this time. Homeowner paid for plan renewal today,

There is a Navien combiboiler. 1 hydronic baseboard loop. Checked expansion tank, feeder, air eliminator. She explained that certain sections of the baseboard were not getting hot. I offered to purge loop. There was considerable amount of air in system. Purged then tested. Colleen walked around and was happy with the heat/heat distribution including on some of the formerly problematic sections of baseboard. While inspecting boiler I noticed the circulator pump is oriented improperly. Left (2) separate estimates. She can do either or (1) Drain down, then reorient existing pump, then fill and purge system OR (2) Replace pump. The filter size for air handler is 14x20x1. She is going to buy and replace soon. The ducted system is. Heat pump so she can use that on heating season as well. 3 Ton Bosch inverter. She wants to condition one section of basement in the future. She is thinking hydronics. The other option would be minisplits which will also allow for cooling/dehumidification.

Issue was first floor system blower motor not runnng yesterday. Blower motor was running when I got here. Replaced 20x25x5 filter provided by homeowner. He installed new Ecobee about a month ago. I checked all wiring connections at stat. Made sure G was properly stripped and inserted in tstat base. Also set to use AC to dehumidify to 60%. AC over cool max set to 2.5° During final walkthrough found blower motor has failed. Error coded B292. Also used ECM motor tester to verify. Got pricing from Lennox Parts plus and presented estimate to homeowner. He agreed. Collected half of balance today. We will contact homeowners for scheduling when we get part.

I arrived to the customers home for indoor unit not working. The system is in the attic. It’s a walk up attic , I removed the blower panel. I tested power had 240 V coming to the unit 240 V going to the motor the motor will try to run but stop run stop run stop. Customer is going to need a new blower motor with ECM head also going to recommend a new blower wheel. The system is also 10 years old. I will talk to the customer to see if they’re interested in getting an estimate for something new before now I did put in for an acquisition form to check pricing and availability in the am . I collected for 149.00 diagnostic for tonight service paid by credit card.

Performed precision a/c tune up on 1990 Goodman a/c system. Homeowner recently replaced 12x20x1 air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components. Brushed and flushed out condensation trap. Homeowner recently replaced 1 pole 40 amp contactor, and 45/5 capacitor. Found compressor not starting right away and already has a hard start installed. Also is melting top of capacitor terminal due to high start up amps. Provided estimate to replace hard start kit and capacitor again but compressor is starting to fail. Recommend to homeowner to replace a/c system. He is going to wait till it completely dies. Also tried to replace scrader valve but scrader will not come out, was able to get it to re seat. A/c is working at time of service but no guarantee on longevity.

I arrived to a customer’s house for no cooling. I went up in the attic, and checked the blower, filter, and coil condition. I went to the outdoor unit found compressor will run but not the outdoor fan. I turned the system off pulled my capacitor found capacitor is very weak. Fan was rated for 5.0 mfd I had .56. I quoted the customer for a new dual capacitor. He approved the repair. Removed the failed dual capacitor 35/5 mfd . I installed the new capacitor and wired it back in the system. Turn the system back on check my pressures and system operation. Everything is back up and running at this time of service collected for repair and diagnostics paid by credit card.

Upon arrival, I discussed repair and replacement options with homeowner. Highly recommended replacing system due to age and repair cost. For new install, we will have to re-run drain line out of the closer side of the house due to not having enough pitch.
