Fully assessed no cooling situation. Checked refrigerant pressure it was 128 with superheat was 31. Found 1 pole 40 amp contactor very burnt and pitted. Did not witness compressor cutting out. Replaced burnt 1 pole 40 amp contactor provided by riverworks. Tested operation. Ran a/c for a while with no issues. A/c is working properly at time of service.

Found cracked p trap. Replaced 3/4” pvc trap and added clean out tee and union. Tested drain with water. Condensation drain is working properly at time of service.

Heat pump system 6 month check up. Checked the wiring connections on unit set up and inspected the coil and blower on the indoor unit. Checked the air filter and found good . Checked my safeties and drain trap . Set the thermostat to cool mode. Went to the outdoor unit. Remove the cover and checked all components. Check voltages and amp draws. The heat system is working fine at this time of service . After resetting the unit from powering down it had an issue of not coming back on , but if i reset the switch again it would work fine . I will talk to Mitsubishi. About the situation. Also I had a screw that broke for the blower door . I was able to remove the screw . We will need tap and a set of new extension screws.

Checked the AC side of the system is over 20 yrs old. Checked the air filter and cleaned . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages on high volt and low volt. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the drain line. Checked the blower motor condition and inspected the blower amps . Went to the outdoor unit and inspected the wiring connections and the components . Checked and tested the pressures by using superheat and sub cooling methods. Checked the amps for the compressor and the fan motor and checked the indoor cooling temps at the supply and return. The AC system is working fine at this time of service.

08/08/25 Dan I arrived to the customers home to remove a failed dome sensor on a new trane system. I removed the top of the unit and electrical compartment and removed the sensor. I then ran the new dome sensor up underneath the coil through the cabinet and tied back into the control board once that was completed. I put the cover back on the outdoor unit and turned the system back on. I set the thermostat to cool and checked the pressures and system operation. Both the dome sensor and the system are running fine at this time of service. No charge warranty

Low volt voltage fuse was popping when contactor energized. Ultimately found that the low voltage contact on the contactor was touching the the capacitor body itself causing the short. Contactor coil ohms 19; Good I remounted the capacitor spin a better spot where there’s no chance to tough the low voltage contacts. Tested system after. Ok Temperature split 74-54

Reset power to outdoor and indoor units. System came back on. There is a decent time for thermostat to reboot any time you shut off and restore power to the system. Found error codes for compressor dome sensor protection dating from July 24th -27th. Once system started up today, it was 3 minutes run time and it shut off on dome sensor error. The the compressor wasn’t even warm to the touch but sensor was reading 360 ohms which correlates to 255°F… dome sensor has failed. We will contact Donna when we can come back out to replace dome sensor. *It will be fairly time consuming to replace dome sensor. Unit is fairly tall and mounted to wall bracket.
Kurt Manges did an excellent job servicing my system. He was thorough, polite, and definitely knowledgeable. He identified an issue that we will follow up on.
