Job Locations and Reviews
Performed quality assurance on 7 cassette head mini split system. Checked all electrical connections and components. Inspected flare connections. Checked 454b refrigerant pressures. Checked temperature readings coming out of the indoors ranging from 103-105f. All units are working properly at time of service. WiFi modules are on top of cassette units, did not have a clear description in installation manual how to install.
Performed precision heat tune up on (4) systems total. (1) geothermal heat pump. New healthy way super filter is clean. (1) Mitsubishi mini split with (2) indoor ceiling cassettes. Cleaned wasable filters. (1) American standard heat pump system replaced (1) 213 Aprilaire filter. And (1) Reznor hanging heater ( this is not designed for a filter). Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked temperature rise. Checked 410a refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Found no surge protection for mini split system, provided estimate, Aprilaire humidifier, and dehumidifier pads are clean. Tested capacitors. Performed combustion test on garage heater. They are still getting smoke in there home. Looked at settings on erv. Decreased fan speed from 45% of maximum to 30%. Let them know that our office is working directly with Honeywell. Let them know to see if this makes a difference. Systems are all working at time of service.
When I arrived found some water on the floor found condensation pump tab was not removed from pump, removed and tested out condensation pump. Found 3rd floor loop air bound , bleed air from loop. Homeowner would like us to come back at a later date to perform q.a. Also found white wire popped out of wire nut to third floor , wired in 3rd floor is now getting hot. Boiler is working properly at time of service.
Boiler was overfilled. Drain approx 12-15 gallons to get water level to design. Checked over wiring, One big issue has been thermostat location it is in a corner about 10’ up on first floor where there is a breeze from entrance way. The temperature there is 7° cooler than the temperature in any of the apartments themselves. We installed Honeywell S1200 Elite pro thermostat with equipment interface module and a room sensor. Placed the room sensor on a wall in a second floor apartment and configured new thermostat to use this sensor as the temperature input. Set thermostat target 70° Monitored boiler operations. Set auto water feeder delay period to 10 min. Tightened packing nuts on 3 problem radiator valves. They were very lose. There are a couple air vents that need to be replaced. We will provide estimate. System will run alot less often now by virtue of having temperature being read from an actual apartment.
Installed Laars boiler. Ran exhaust pipe out side. Adapted to supply and return piping. Adapted to cold and hot lines. Installed sir eliminator and shut off valves. Adapted to old zone valves, circ pump, and relays. Installed a 40 va transformer to power everything. Someone will need to return to install a 75 va transformer in place of it. Tested system and set domestic water to 120°
Fully assessed gas leak situation. Found appliance hose was cracked on the appliance hose itself. Used soap and bubbles and found leak. Explained to Wayne that we could pipe it in with all black iron if we need too. Wayne is going to run out to a local hardware store to pick up an appliance hose and they will complete the work.
Fully assessed no heating situation. Found nothing running at gas furnace. Checked for 24v between c&w no 24 v. Went down to Honeywell thermostat t-4 which was installed this summer. Found that the wire was wired in rc instead of r with the jumper set to 2 wires instead of 1. Switched back and tested operation. Performed combustion test. As it was running it did briefly lock out on a code 31 pressure switch error. Possibly some snow and ice in vent pipes. Furnace stayed working properly at time of service.
Upon arrival, found the system overfilled drained 6 5 gallon buckets of water took apart float and examined and tested wiring and mechanical function. Set feeder to eight minutes. Tested operation
