Upon arrival I found relay on control board was not staying energized for cooling. Hardwired high speed on fan and disconnected all fan speed wires. System is operational at this time until we are able to replace control board or system.

Customer called in for not enough cooling. (Physical Therapy). There are three units for this area. Did not check any of the other three we only concentrated on #5. Found blower running but no outside. Found tripped 30 amp breaker. Reset breaker and noticed compressor would not come on pulling 80 amp tripping breaker. Used super boost but compressor still did not response. Unit is from 2001 and refrigerant was converted from r22 to 438a. We will have to replace outside compressor and replace indoor txv to 410a. (We will need to verify availability for the 410a systems) if we can’t get this equipment full system, will need to replace. Would recommend getting an estimate to update full system.

Upon arrival, I performed maintenance on AC system. Changed air filter. Inspected evaporator coil and drain pan. Cleared and tested drain line. Inspected blower assembly and electrical connections. Cycled system in cooling and checked static pressure and temperature differentials. Proceeded to outdoor unit. Inspected outdoor coil and condenser fan. Checked electrical connections and components on outdoor unit. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. System is operating appropriately at this time.

Checked the AC side of the system . Checked the air filter and found good , I left a filter on hand . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages on high volt and low volt. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the drain line. Checked the blower condition and inspected the blower amps and tested for static pressure. Went to the outdoor unit and inspected the wiring connections and the components . Checked and tested the pressures by using superheat and sub cooling methods. Checked the amps for the compressor and the fan motor and checked the indoor cooling temps at the supply and return. The AC system is working fine at this time of service.
Kurt was a pleasure, he found the issue rather quickly and got the condenser working which was the problem. Checked the system pressure and gave it a clean bill of health! Very happy with the service of Kurt and Di Biase Heating and Cooling!

Found weak capacitor, and failed capacitor. Found breaker was off at panel to furnace. Turned on breaker and found 3 amp fuse blowing as soon as it got a call for cooling. Tested 30 amp contactor and found shorted contactor tested at 1.5 ohms. Also found weak capacitor 45/7.5 capacitor tested at 40/6.8. Provided estimate to repair system but highly recommended replacement. Homeowner decided to go with repairs. Mentioned he will go us if unit needs replacement. A/c is working at time of service.

Did a QA on a new trane single stage gas furnace . Check the cleanliness of all the wires and connections. Inspected the gas line to check for leaks started the gas furnace and adjusted gas pressure for the first and second stages. Checked the flue piping and checked the drain lines. Checked the control board for proper set up and checked the thermostat for set up. Checked outdoor level and the disconnect level and made sure all penetrations are caulked . Tested the a/c system operation. Talked with the customer to see if he had any questions. The new system looks good. It’s up and running at this time of service.

Fully assessed noise situation. We installed individual zone dampers on every run in 2022. Got homeowner to describe noise and what it sounds like is a hammering noise. He has heard it in different parts of the house but mostly in the 2nd floor bathroom. Got homeowner to cycle 1st and 2nd floor dampers. Never heard the noise. Also it mainly happens at night. Also performed precision a/c tune up on amana a/c system. Replaced 16x25x1 air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked temperature split. Flushed out ez trap with water. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures at indoor and outdoor units. Homeowner also mentioned seeing more dust in the home. Found reme led air scrubber is functioning correctly at this time. A/c is working at time of service.

Installed new trane 90% gas furnace and A/C coil. Placed indoor unit in condensate pan with wet switch. Built new return and supply. Tapped/ caulked return and supply. Insulated supply and adapted flue piping. Adapted high volt and installed new outlet and switch. Ran new condensate line with ez trap with and condensate pump. Ran new vinyl tubing from condensate pump to sewer line located in the basement. Adapted gas line and adjusted gas pressures. Installed new ecobee thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Flushed line set and reconnected to new equipment. Installed new A/C outdoor on leveled pad and snow legs. Installed new disconnect with surge protector and wired into outdoor unit. Removed existing humidifier and saddle valve. Installed new coupling and shut off valve on the hot side of the water heater. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.

Arrived to the customers home for no cooling. I started with the indoor unit checked the drain lines. They were good checked the air filter found good blower motor runs fine and coil was defrosted. I went outside to the outdoor unit hooked up. My gauges. Found pressures were fine. Superheat needed for today was 8.2 the unit was running at 9° super heat . Found no issues with the system. At this time now the customer had mentioned that he has a thermostat upstairs for his heat and he was told that he could use that for AC so when he turned that thermostat on what I think may have happened that the blower had shut down and caused everything to freeze up because customer said the line was frozen all the way to the outside unit and the indoor coil. There’s no way that would happen with the pressures that I had today so he’s gonna leave that thermostat off and just use the one downstairs for the main house. Collected for my time here 142.50 paid by cc.
