Arrived to perform heater certification, customer took me downstairs and showed me the heater he wanted me to perform certification. Performed initial testing in heater. Inspect electrical low and high voltage connections and components. Performed visual inspection on interior parts. Burners are in bad shape. Front heat exchanger shield is in bad shape. Massive corrosion and rust. Performed smoke test and system failed test. Used camera to inspect inside cells. There is couple locations where metal has become thinner and metal starting to crack. All mechanical components are original to system (1996). Combustion test did not passed. System needs major repairs. According to manufacturer heat exchanger had part warranty 20 years which expired 2016. Heater will need to be rebuilt or replace. We will provide estimate for repairs. Would recommend getting an estimate to replace heater,

Dropped off gift cards for Rachel that were part of the installation agreement. Reviewed equipment but did not complete qa inspection. On qa please investigate maximizing airflow to 3rd level by checking fan speed settings and seeing if adjustments can be made to the dampers 5/22/25 . Performed qa on recently installed trane gas furnace and a/c. Tested system in a/c mode. Refrigerant pressures were good. Inspected all wiring and settings. Adjusted dampers to push more air to the top floors, homeowner said see is happy with the adjustments.

Upon arrival, I performed certification on gas furnace. Changed 16 x 25 x 1 air filter. Inspected heat exchanger and burner assembly. Inspected blower assembly and electrical connections. Cycle system and heating. Performed combustion analysis. Checked gas pressure going into manifold. Inspected inducer assembly and drain lines. Tested limit and pressure switch safeties. Furnace is operating appropriately at this time. proceeded to perform maintenance on AC system. Inspected evaporator coil and drain pan. Cleared and tested drain line. Inspected blower assembly and electrical connections. Cycled system in cooling and checked static pressure and temperature differentials. Proceeded to outdoor unit. Inspected outdoor coil and condenser fan. Checked electrical connections and components on outdoor unit. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. System is operating appropriately at this time. gave homeowner estimate to install CO detectors. After homeowner excepted estimate I instal

Installed new trane 90% gas furnace and A/C outdoor. Installed new blower surge protector on indoor unit. Reused return and built new supply. Tapped/ caulked return and supply. Adapted fresh air and exhaust. Adapted gas line and adjusted gas pressures. Installed new condensate line with ez trap and condensate pump. Ran new vinyl tubing from condensate pump to washer drain located in basement. Installed new t4 pro thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Installed new line set and connected to new equipment. Installed new A/C outdoor on leveled pad. Installed new disconnect and wired it into the outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.
Luis was very helpful and professional. Helped us with our AC unit and to better understand future maintenance!
Hi Mehgan! Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad to hear that Luis was able to help with your AC unit and provide helpful guidance on future maintenance. We appreciate you choosing DiBiase Heating and Cooling and look forward to serving you again whenever you need us!

Customer called in for for no cooling. ICP unit from 2008 it looks to be 3.5 ton outdoor. Found frozen coil. There was two dirty air filters installed inside unit. I had to run the heater to defrost indoor coil when the heater came on. I noticed burning smell coming from heater. Performed combustion test noticed exhaust temp reaching 160 degrees. Performed smoke test on heater and failed test. Noticed tons of refrigeration oil inside drain pan of indoor coil indication of refrigeration leaking at small rate. Indoor coils still has some iced buildup. I was able to check outdoor unit. Outdoor disconnect is missing protection cover. They’re so so big kinnk on suction line pipe. Due to age and condition would recommend getting an estimate to replace system. Provided estimate for repairs. Home Comfort consultant to come out on Monday to provide estimate on a new system. We will need to verify heat exchanger warranty with manufacture if heaters under warranty that’s the correct price unde

Performed gas het tune up. Found thermostat satisfied upon arrival, ask customer to increase temp after 4 minutes of heater running unit went iff on pressure switch issue. Found water inside inducer, drain was clogged, cleane furnace drain and test operation check draft -2.66 wc pressure switch rated at 2 wc. Inducer is making grinding noise. Check all electrical connections and components. Performed combustion test inspect heat exchanger and indoor coil. During inspection found some items that need to be address for system to work properly and in safe condition. Indoor coil is leaking refrigerant, heat exchanger did not passed test, inducer will eventually failed. Provided estimate for findings. Unit is from 2009 we can also provide estimate to replace system. (Heat exchanger might be under manufacture 20 year warranty we will need to verify with manufacturer customer is aware.)

Move thermostat to back office

Upon arrival I performed maintenance on all four AC systems. Inspected evaporator coils and blower assemblies. Inspected drain lines and ensured there were no restrictions. I found two systems without any drain protection that I recommend installing wet switches on to help prevent water damage. Cycled systems in cooling and proceeded to outdoor units. Inspected outdoor coils and condenser fan assemblies. Inspected electrical components and connections. Checked refrigerant temperatures and pressures. All systems are cooling appropriately at this time with appropriate temperature drops. I will also recommend relocating thermostat to back office closest to return grill for proper system control.
Luis was very knowledgeable and was able to fix my issue quickly.
