Arrived for no cooling Equipment is 2.5 Ton HP with 10KW electric heat kit. Installed 6/5/2019 for a different homeowner -Replaced 16x20x1 MERV 8 filter provided by homeowner. -Made demand for cooling from thermostat. At this point no operation from outdoor equipment -Found 4 red flash at core sense diagnostic module. -Used meter to confirm failed capacitor is cause of issue. Capacitor was reading 0 uF. Offered to replace dual run capacitor AND install SPP6 start assist. I explained that the start assist is an additional relay and capacitor that will reduce energy required to get compressor started and overcome starting torque/resistance. Will reduce inrush current. Homeowner agreed.- -Installed SPP6 start assist and replaced failed 35/5 uF capacitor - tested system. Refrigerant diagnostics good -temperature split 57-78=21° Good - Brushed out EZ trap and tested pump System operating well at this time. Please Allow for a couple hours of operation to get the heat out of the house
Luis 5-18-26 no cooling call found indoor unit running not outdoor compressor, found open capacitor provided estimate to replace Capacitor, I also presented options on contactor super boost. Customer decided to just do Immediate repair of outdoor electrical system with standard duty capacitor to prevent breakdown due to wear and tear. Test system operation ok. Refrigerant levels ok at the time. Provided estimate and information about water protection and service plan.
Performed precision a/c tune up on (2) 2022 amana a/c systems. Replaced (2) 16x20x1 air filters. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked temperature split. Brushed out ez traps and tested condensation pumps. Tested outdoor capacitors. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Provided estimate to install surge protectors for both 1st and 2nd floor blower motors. Both a/cs are working properly at time of service.
Performed precision a/c tune up on 2017 amana a/c system located in the attic. Checked all electrical connections and components. Flushed condensation drain. Found only a float switch in the drain pan and explained to her how a float switch worked. Recommended installing a wet switch for better water protection. Installed and tested operation. Checked temperature split. Tested all capacitors. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Provided options for uv air purification at air handler. A/c is working properly at time of service.
5/14/26 Dan I arrived to the customers home to service their 38 yr old York a/c system. I checked the wiring connections and the voltages . I checked and replaced the indoor air filter , filter size is a 20x25x1 or x4 . I Inspected the indoor coil and tested the primary drain pan with water and flushed the drain line and cleared. I Took indoor temp splits at the return and the supply and checked the blower motor condition and operation. I looked at the outdoor unit wiring connections and voltages . I inspected the outdoor components and checked my unit pressures by using super heat sub cool method. The system is currently operational but past normal life expectancy. Replacement of system is recommended . I did find my a/c side is slightly low on charge and will struggle during the warm months and possibly freeze. I asked her if she wanted me to schedule an estimate. She’s going to hold off at this time , she just started a new job She will contact the office when she’s ready. I

05/07/26 Dan I arrived to the customers home to service their 6 yr old Amana a/c system . I checked the wiring connections and the voltages . I checked and replaced the indoor air filter , the filter size is 16x25x1. I Inspected the indoor coil and tested the primary drain pan and cleared and tested the water drains and traps if applicable. I Took indoor temp splits at the return and the supply and checked the blower motor condition and operation. I looked at the outdoor unit wiring connections and voltages . I inspected the outdoor components and checked my unit pressures by using super heat sub cool method. System in good operating condition at this time. I did find that my dual capacitor was well out of range of tolerance. It’s a 45/5mfd and I had 21 mfd below 10%. I went over pricing with the customer, she agreed to do the part, but she wanted to see if she could get an extra discount. Mike was able to authorize a $50 service coupon for installing the capacitor. I checked
No cooling. Found drain clog situation causing an open EZ trap switch. I explained how the EZ trap works. There is a float switch at the top of the trap so that if the drain becomes clogged/obstructed the float rises and an electrical switch breaks power to the thermostat. Showed homeowner how to brush out trap. Flush drain line and tested pump. Added condensate treatment tabs. Showed homeowner how to do this as well. Vinegar can be used as an alternative to the tabs to keep drain line and pump clean. Only needed in cooling season. AC system operating well at this time.
Luis 5-5-26 performed ac tune up in carrier 3 ton ac system from 2012. Check indoor unit electrical, replace customer supplied air filter. Flush drain and test pump. Vinyl tubing is in bad shape no restrictions, I would recommend replacement, check airflows supply and return ok. Check outdoor unit refrigerant levels and pressures ok. Electric readings on motor and compressor ok. System currently operational but nearing end of normal life expectancy. Due to age, replacement of system should be considered in near future. Emailed estimate to replace vinyl tubing with new pump. Customer doesn’t want to do mini split at this time.
5/4/26 Dan I arrived for a no heat call . No heat , 2 things: I found the door switch on the furnace has failed. It’s jumped out at this time so the furnace and a/c can run . 2nd thing I found the 3 amp fuse was blown . At the outdoor unit I found the thermostat wire was chewed by a field mouse. I quoted the customer and repaired the wires. Please keep the customers a/c check up date for the 13th, and then we can install the new door switch. Both sides of the system are back up and running. I collected for renewal contract, diagnostic, and wiring repair and fuse. When we return for her a/c check up , we can install the furnace door switch under a labor warranty for $174.68 . Total collected for today is $412.95 paid by cc.

I came to DiBiase on multiple recommendations for this company as still being an honest company to deal with. My previous contract was with another company and I asked DiBiase for a second opinion. They quickly assessed my situation, spent time educating me on the exact issue and informing me of my options. I felt far better equipped to make a decision after my visit from Kurt. They quoted a better price, a better timeline to do the same work. Melissa communicated consistently through the process and kept me up to date with the status of the required part. The repair was done cleanly and with professionalism. I cannot recommend the team enough based on not only my experience but my comparative experience dealing with 2 other companies in the area.
Hello there! Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re honored that you came to us for a second opinion and even more so that Kurt and Melissa were able to provide the transparency and service you were looking for. We believe in honest, straightforward solutions, and we’re glad we could help you make an informed decision with confidence. If you ever need anything in the future, we’re here to help. We truly appreciate your recommendation!
First time customer referred by a friend at work. Called DiBiase Heating and Cooling at 8am to help me get my furnace back working properly on a cold December day. They sent me emails and text messages to communicate flawlessly. The technician Dan texted me prior to arriving 2 hours earlier than expected and quickly diagnosed the problem. Dan is easy to understand and serviced our furnace at a very fair price! Definitely would use DiBiase again.
