Estimate
Completed heat tune up for 100,000 BTU natural gas furnace. Homeowner will replace filter next month. Inspected heat exchanger, burners, inducer assembly, and pressure switch Cleaned flame sensor, verified flame rectification circuit Inspected ignitor, confirmed ohm value Verified manifold gas pressure Measured temperature rise and static pressure There is no clean out or drain safety. Discussed and left estimate for ez trap. Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components. Left estimate for surge protector Combustion and draft tests: Pass System operating well at this time.
Created estimate for Amana gas furnace options and emailed to the customer.
Upon arrival, found electrical power off at the unit check system operation notice system is from 1994 burner assembly its in bad shape. look like something melted. Perform couple safety test and furnace failed all four tests, perform combustion test noticed that carbon monoxide was not stable jumping back-and-forth between 70 and 150 ppm gas pressure set to 3.5 inches water column. After performing all safety test determined that the heat exchanger is compromise. New heat exchanger is needed or system replacement. termination for exhaust and intake are not visible most likely they goe through chimney base, and it terminates on the roof. Final recommendation is system replacement and also run new intake and exhaust through the side of the house.
Gas furnace tuneup on a 90% Checked the air filter and replaced. Checked the wiring connections and the voltages . Inspected the burners and flame sensor and igniter. Flushed and tested the drain lines and furnace trap . checked the thermostat in heating mode and checked the gas pressures and the furnace safeties. Inspected the flue pipe and fresh air for bellies. checked the motor amps on the inducer operation and blower motor . Took indoor heat temp rise and tested for combustion. everything is in good working order at this time of service.
.
