Reviewed installation with Gretchen and inspected to ensure it was up to our standards. All looked good and second floor was cooling comfortably. Showed Gretchen where dampers were located. She may proceed with other duct replacement in the fall after she determines the course she will head down with the addition. Looked at returns on first floor for project she is completing in the office. She also mentioned about possibly using us for service but needs to check the warranty she has with Oliver first.

Performed precision a/c tune up on 2003 Rudd a/c system. Replaced 16x25x1 air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked temperature split. Found it to be only 14 degrees ( not great). Also found capacitor very rusted and contactor burnt and pitted. Provided estimate to replace these parts and add a hard start to the system. Checked r-22 pressure and temperatures. Due to the condition on the system would recommend replacement of gas furnace and a/c. A/c is working at time of service.

Upon arrival I found thermostat was not wired properly. Gave homeowner estimate to rewire system. Rewired thermostat and air handler. Cycled system to ensure proper operation. Found air handler was also condensating on the outside. Increased airflow setting on indoor unit. Check refrigerant pressures and temperature. Attic system is operating appropriately at this time. homeowner also had me look at nest thermostat for a basement system. Thermostat did not have enough wires running to it. Need to run eight wire from air handler to thermostat. Gave homeowner estimate for running new wire and adding surge protection. homeowner also wants estimate for ductwork in attic.

6x10 straight boot 6”
6x10 90 boot 6”
6x10 register 
(2) bags  8” flex


We started replacing ductwork. Kevin says the transitions will not be complete until Friday. No point in coming back tomorrow not enough work to keep us busy for the day. I would reschedule for Friday to complete. Please call the customer to let her know what our return date and time will be.

Set new unit in new auxiliary drain pan. Adapted to supply and return ductwork. Adapted to existing lineset. Adapted new unit to existing high and low voltage connections. Adapted to existing condensate gravity drain with new ez trap and wet switch safeties. Wired all safeties in series to break 24v R call to thermostat. Set new unit on new pad and leveled. Hung new disconnect box with surge protector and sealed to wall. Adapted existing lineset to unit. Brazed pressure tested evacuated and charged system. Performed all test out procedures cleaned all work areas and reviewed installation with homeowner.

Installed new Bosch airhandler in a new auxiliary drain pan. Reconnected supply duct, installed new aprilaire filter rack and reconnected supply. Installed new ez trap and wet switch. Installed new eco bee thermostat. Installed new Bosch heat pump on a new concrete pad, and snow legs. Ran new refrigeration lineset and slim duct. Installed new rectorseal disconnect with a built in surge protector. Tested all functions of the unit, working great at time of completion. Had to install new breaker at panel due to malfunction also installed new transformer and three amp fuse attached to transformer at Bosch unit. Filter dryer failed upon start up from Bosch and had to install new. System is running to standards at this time .

Upon arrival, I performed maintenance on AC side of the 4 systems. Changed all air filters and checked all electrical wiring and voltages. Checked the indoor coils and inspected the drain pans . The condensate drains on all units were water tested and cleared. Inspected the condensate pumps. Checked all the blower operations and amps. Inspected the outdoor unit coils and inspected the wiring connections and voltages for all units . Tested the pressures by using superheat and subcool methods and checked the amps for the compressor in the fan motors on all units . Checked the indoor cooling temps at the supplies and returns for both systems . All 4 AC units are working appropriately at this time of service .
